Morning Announcements - Friday, May 13, 2022
Happy Birthday to Collin Smith, Aubrey Palmer-Roesch, Paige Reer, Mallory Jamison, and Sidney Smith!
 
Today the track team will be competing in the SBC Championships beginning at 3:00 at Clyde High School. The softball team is at home for their sectional final vs. Carey at 5 pm. Varsity Baseball is at home vs. Wellington at 4:45 and JV Baseball is at Wellington at 5 pm. Saturday, JV Baseball will be at New Riegel at 10:00.
 
The varsity baseball team beat Margaretta 7-4.  Thomas Simon pitched a complete game 6 hitter, allowing 2 earned runs with 8 strikeouts.  Simon, Brady Barker, and Dominic Dymond each had 2 hits.  Barker doubled, while Noah Smith, Max Hoover, and Bryce Michaelis each hit singles.  Simon, Smith, Dymond, Barker, and Michaelis each had RBI's.  The team finished the SBC season with a 9-1 record and as the 2022 SBC Bay Division Champions.  Congratulations guys!
 
The varsity softball team won on senior night against Huron by a score of 9-5. Audrey Linder broke the 5-5 tie in the 6th with an RBI single. Reagan King cleared the bases with a stand up double. Kira Appeman pitched a complete game to earn the win in the circle.
 
Come and audition for the Edison Show Choir next Monday and/or Tuesday. You just need to sign up for a 5 minute slot on Sign Up Genius.  All the information and links are on the blue Audition Show Choir flyer.  If you have any questions, you can contact Ms Notley.
 
Prom is this Saturday May 14th. Vote for 2022 Prom King and Queen during check-in at the dance this Saturday. Appetizers with veggies, cheese, crackers, pretzels, cheese dip, and salad bar will be ready from 7:00-7:30, dinner starts at 7:30, which will include a pasta dish and sandwiches. Beverages and cookies are included as well. The junior class officers thank everyone who dressed up today! It’s been a great week!
 
Attention all students! Now through Friday May 20th, TLC is collecting pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House. There will be two blue jugs, one for the guys and one for the girls that will be located in the library. If you have pop tabs -  please consider bringing the tabs to the library. Let's see who can fill up the bottle faster! 
 
You still have this week to nominate your favorite teacher, that teacher who made a difference! The Milan Rotary & Interact clubs are sponsoring the Golden Apple Award that goes to a teacher who has not won previously, has been a teacher in the Edison system for 3 years. You can nominate ANY teacher from the elementary, middle or high school.  Applications are in the library!  
 
Attention Students:  Many of you have lunch accounts that are running low, so please make sure you have sufficient funds available before making purchases in the cafeteria.
