Morning Announcements - Wednesday, October 13, 2021
Happy Birthday today to Ciera Barnicle!
 
Good luck today to Torri Keyser & Alli Vogus at district tennis at Port Clinton. 
At 5:00, girls varsity soccer is at home with Lorain, and at 6, boys varsity soccer is at Willard.
 
The following students will need to report to the cafeteria for the PSAT Test immediately following announcements. PLEASE be quiet while moving around in the halls. Morgan Moon, Julianna Burnham, Brienna Marcy, Evelyn Gall, Max Hermes, Ava Miller, Kelly Wilson, Max Hoover, Peyton Facemire, Marina Moore, Ava Grant, Natalie Leimeister, and Ciera Barnicle.
 
The varsity volleyball team beat Port Clinton 25-12, 25-14, 25-23.  Lydia Woodyard led the team with 10 kills, 16 points, and 3 aces.  Kira Appeman had 10 kills and 10 digs, Olivia Vitaz dished out 23 assists, Lindsay Roberts had 4 kills and 7 points, Kalli Quillen served 6 points, and Skylie Hixon had 5 digs. The JV volleyball team beat Port Clinton 25-22, 21-25, 25-23.  Natalie Leimeister served 9 points. 
 
Last night the Charger tennis team competed in the JV tournament at Port Clinton. The first doubles team of Kiera Keoghan and Delaney Lococo won their first match against Oak Harbor 8-3, but lost the next round against PC in a heartbreaker tiebreaker 7-8(3). The second doubles team of Brynleigh Dail and Rowen Smith won their first two matches against Clyde and Bellevue each with a score of 8-2 before losing in the semifinals 4-8 against Norwalk, giving them 3rd place overall. Great ending to a great season, ladies!
 
Anyone interested in participating in bowling this winter - the first day of practice is Friday, November 5th from 3:30-5:30 at Riverview Lanes.
 
The athletic office is selling pre-sale tickets for the varsity football game at Vermilion on Friday.  All pre-sale tickets are $5, while all tickets at the gate are $7.
 
Speech & Debate Club members - Miss Baughman will be here after school on Wednesday to work with any students interested in competing in Speech events this season. The sign up sheet is on the bulletin board by the office. 
 
Anyone interested in signing up for Chargerettes, please sign up in the athletic office.  
 
Attention any boys in grades 9-12 interested in playing basketball this winter. There is a sign-up sheet in the Athletic Office - please make your way down there and sign up. Contact Coach Hammond with any questions.
 
Interact will meet tonight at 7:00 pm in the Innovation room. Please make plans to attend if you’re a member or if you’d still like to join, stop by the library and see Mrs. Moyer.

As a reminder to all students, don't forget to check your email for important announcements and information that might be important to YOU! 
 
There will be a short meeting with Coach Hermes after school on Thursday at 3:00 in the Innovation Center for all students interested in wrestling this season.  Important information regarding the upcoming season will be provided so please make sure you are in attendance if you plan to wrestle this season.
