Morning Announcements - Friday, October 15, 2021
Happy Birthday to Jillian Johnson, Matthew Goodrich Gideon Kellenbarger, Nathan Dolsen & Duke Hermes!
 
Tonight at 7:00, varsity football is at Vermilion. On Saturday morning the cross county teams will be at Tiffin for the SBC meet.  Girls will run at 11:15 and the boys at 11:45. Also, Saturday morning, Alli Vogus and Torri Keyser will finish district play at Port Clinton. 
At 10:00, freshman volleyball is home with Plymouth. Also at 10, Jv football is at home with Vermilion. At noon, Jv & varsity volleyball is at home with St. Paul. At 2:30, girls soccer will take on Port Clinton, and also at 2:30, Jv & varsity boys soccer is at Norwalk. 
On Saturday night, the Edison band will present the sites and sounds of the Edison Band show! Tickets are available at the gate! 
 
The Edison Girls Soccer team lost a hard fought affair to Perkins by a score of 1 to 0. The Lady Chargers will look to bounce back on Saturday when they play their last regular season home match against Port Clinton at 2:30pm.
 
Anyone interested in signing up for Chargerettes, please sign up in the athletic office.
 
The varsity volleyball team lost to Margaretta 19-25, 20-25, 25-15, 25-15, 6-15.  Lydia Woodyard and Kira Appeman had 11 kills each, followed by Lindsay Roberts with 7 kills.  Olivia Vitaz had 30 assists and served 20 points, Skylie Hixon had 17 digs, and Karin Wlodarsky served 9 points. The JV volleyball team lost to Margaretta 25-19, 24-26, 29-31.  Ella Habeck led the team with 16 points.
 
Anyone interested in participating in bowling this winter - The first day of practice is Friday, November 5th from 3:30-5:30 at River View Lanes.
 
The athletic office is selling pre-sale tickets for the varsity football game at Vermilion tonight.  All pre-sale tickets are $5, while all tickets at the gate are $7.
 
Attention Speech and Debate Club members:  Make sure you sign up for practice times with Mr. Amstutz outside the Main Office on the Speech and Debate Bulletin Board for next week.  The first regular season tournament on October 30 is fast approaching.
 
Any student interested in competing in Public Forum Debate in November or December should attend Thursday’s meeting about the new topic which is regulating cryptocurrency.  Any student interested in participating in Big Question debate in November should attend Friday's meeting.  The Big Question topic is on the value of religion in education.  There are still plenty of openings on the team, so don't miss out!!!
