Happy Birthday to Sara Gates!
 
The Edison boys golf team had their best round of the year in the Huron SBC Shootout yesterday. The boys shot a 187 score to beat Port Clinton. Leading the way was Aaron Febbo and Korrigan Sanders who had a pair of 45's. Parker Campbell had a 47 and Hayden Lewis had a 50 to round out the scoring. Next up is the Erie County Invite today at Plumbrook. Good Luck!!

JV girls soccer goal keepers Emma Chaput and Lydia McQuillen teamed up for a shut out helping the lady chargers secure a 8-0 win over Norwalk. Goals were scored all around the pitch with Joy Jordan, Becca Houser, Rachel Frederick scoring 2 each, and Sophie Baker and Gabrielle Shupe with one goal each. Assists were Joy Jordan and Sophie Baker. 
 
The varsity volleyball team lost to Willard 9-25, 14-25, 25-27.  Kalli Quilen had 13 assists and 8 digs.  Dana Preston led the team at the net with 5 kills, followed by Olivia Wilson with 4 kills.  Taylor Moore had 13 digs, 10 points, and 3 aces.  
 
The JV volleyball team lost to Willard 21-25, 23-25.  Cayli Kegarise served 11 points.
 
Congratulations to the Firelands Challenge team for securing a victory in the practice round yesterday against Margaretta and Norwalk. The first round of the regular season is October 4th.  Good luck to the team this season as they attempt to extend their winning streak to the 11th straight championship!!
 
If you are interested in joining Key Club please pay the $10 dues by Wednesday, September 21st. The first meeting will be Thursday, September 22nd at 7:40 am in the auditorium. We will elect Key Club officers at the meeting. If you are interested in running for office please sign-up in the library.
 
If you would like your name removed from the Homecoming Ballot this year, please see Mrs Davis in room 204 no later than Tuesday, September 20th.

Attention Speech and Debate competitors:  Sign up to rehearse or meet with Mr. Amstutz on the bulletin board outside the main office.  Mr. Amstutz will be at EHS on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday this week.
 
Reminder to all senior athletes and senior band members, be sure to complete the Most Inspirational teacher night google form that was emailed to you.  If you wish to participate, your google form is due by Tuesday, September 20th.  
 
Attention all students and staff!
This is the last week to buy pink-out apparel to support Mrs. Moyer and all those in our community in their fight against cancer.  Short-sleeved t-shirts are $15, long-sleeved are $19, hooded sweatshirts are $26, and rally towels are $6.  Please see the link in the Class of 2024 Instagram account, or see the email sent from Mrs. Wobser last week. Orders must be placed by Friday, Sept. 23rd by 5 p.m.  Items can be picked up Thursday, Oct. 13, from 5-7 p.m. and Friday, Oct. 14th after school from 3:00-4:30 in the high school cafeteria.
