Morning Announcements - Friday, January 27, 2023
Happy Birthday Evan Gassman and Zachary Main!
 
The Charger bowling teams took on Old Fort tonight in another away conference matchup.  Lady Chargers bowled well and came out on top with a nice win!
Leading the girls was Haley Chaput with 311 and Rory Conrad with 304.
Charger guys went up against a very much improved Old Fort team and struggled most of night losing a tough one! Leading the boys was Hayden Lewis with 432 and Aydan Houser with 323.  JV boys also bowled and came out with a nice win. Leading the JV boys was Korrigan Sanders with 295 and Blayke McKillips with 280.
 
The Sources of Strength campaign for January is Positive Friends & Mentors. Stop and see Mrs. Wilson or a Peer Leader If you would like a polaroid picture taken with your Positive Friend or Mentor to display on the poster in the hallway.  If you want to purchase friendship bracelets they are in the library before school. The cost is 2 for $5.00 or 1 for $3.00!
 
The Lady Chargers lost to Norwalk 56-27 Tuesday night, bringing their record to 6-12 on the season. Leading the way for the Chargers was Ivy Kluding with 5 points. Kalli Quillen, Jillian McDonnell, and Peyton Taylor each had 4 points, and Taylor Moore and Stella Brown each scored 3 points. The Lady Chargers are back in action tonight at Margaretta for a Bay Division matchup. 
 
Attention Speech and Debate members who are competing at Saturday's tournament in Solon, the bus leaves at 6:30 a.m. sharp! Don't be late!
 
The next Writing Club meeting will be Jan 30 - after school in Room 201.
 
Congratulations to our swimmers who had their last home match last night against Vermilion and St. Marys.  Keegan McLaren took 2nd place in 200 yard freestyle and 100 yard freestyle. Logan Trizna took 2nd in 100 yard butterfly and 100 yard backstroke
Waylon Bock took 1st place in 100 yard freestyle. Corbin Thayer took 2nd place in the 50 yard freestyle. Evertt Gfell took 2nd place in the 500 yard freestyle. The boys relay team of Logan Trizna, Keegan McLaren, Everett Gfell and Corbin Thayer took 1st place in the 400 yard freestyle. Becca Houser placed 3rd in the 100 yard freestyle. Rachel Fredrick placed 4th in the 100 yard freestyle. Sophie Baker placed 3rd in the 100 yard backstroke. The swimmers are back in action Saturday, February 4th at Margaretta.
