Firelands Challenge tryouts will be held after school at Edison High School on May 18th in Mrs. Roan's room 301 and May 23rd in Mrs. Facemire's room (401). The boys track team competed last night in the first round of the district meet. Finishing in first place on the night was Trayvon Williams in the Long Jump. Also placing last night was Wes Kryger in the pole vault and the 4x800 relay team of Aiden Reeder, Kellen McDonnell, Chase King, and Logan Facemire. The remaining final events will be tomorrow. The varsity baseball team secured the school's first back to back SBC baseball championships with a 13-1 five inning win against Port Clinton. Dominic Dymond was 3 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI's. Carson Smith, Bryson Wittmer, and Marcus Medina all had 2 hits. Aiden Drake and Blake Simon both hit doubles. James Bickley and Tristian Wetherill both singled. Simon picked up the win on the mound, pitching a complete game 2 hitter with 8 strikeouts.
The team starts tournament action tonight at 5 pm at home vs. Northwood.
