The EMS cafeteria will be serving a walking taco with sour cream and salsa, or Daily Grab & Go, refried beans, fruit choice, and milk for lunch today.
The weather report for today is cloudy with a high of 43.
Today’s trivia question is: Where did the walking taco originate at?
Today is the last day to save the sinking ship or to destroy the others ships at the Penny Wars Battle. As of last night, here are the results on the Penny Wars. In last place are still the 7th grade class with a negative $15.56 balance. Second place are the 6th grade class who moved into the positive side with a $12.25. That leaves the 8th grade class with a positive balance of $32.52 in first place. I wonder who will be the winners of this year’s Penny Wars Battle.
On March 24, we are hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive from 3-7pm here in the gymnasium. Every student who gets a donor who shows up at the drive to donate will get a chance to win a $10 gift card. Get your relatives or neighbors to sign up. In order to make an appointment, just go to redcross.org Let’s pump it up, pump it up!
The trivia answer is that the walking taco originated at fairs and festivals, making it easier to eat the taco on the go.
We would like to close with this quote from an unknown author: “It’s okay if you fall apart sometimes, tacos fall apart and we still love them.”
