Morning Announcements - Friday, May 8, 2026

The EMS cafeteria will be serving personal pan pizza, or Daily Grab & Go, rainbow carrots & green peppers strips with ranch, fresh fruit, a carnival cookie, and milk for lunch today.

The weather report for today is rain possible after 1:00 pm and a high of 58.

Today’s trivia question is: The world’s largest pizza ever made was created in what year?

We will now announce the winners of today’s Calendar Raffle. Today’s May 8 package A is a $25 Regal Gift Card and a $25 Uber Eats Gift Card. The winner is Marcia Warner and Grant Schnittker sold this ticket. Today’s May 8 package B is a $25 Adam Michaels Gift Card and a $25 Dunkin Donuts Gift Card. The winner of this prize is Mackenzie Popke and Brody Leto sold the ticket.

We will also announce the winners for tomorrow.
Saturday’s May 9 package A is a Milan Melon Festival Basket. The winner of this prize is Lindsy Coe and Dom Shelley sold the ticket. Saturday’s May 9 package B is a Milan Melon Festival Basket. The winner of this prize is Suzanne Schroeder and Augie Stipp sold the ticket.

There will be a boys’ basketball open gym on Monday, May 11 after school until 5 for all 6th and 7th grade boys interested in playing basketball next year.  If you have, any questions please contact Coach Scott or Coach Campana.

Attention 8th graders:
Check your email for High School Academic Challenge Tryouts. If they have any questions, see Mrs. Costello.

There are student council morning meetings for all of the reps on Monday, May 11 and Wednesday, May 13. Do not forget about the Pizza Party on Monday from 3-5pm.

4th grade Everly Keefer and Luka Taylor
5th grade Addy Whalen and Jude Wobser
6th grade Patrick Capizzi and Jessica Rockwell
7th grade Kellen Ruck and Mylie Thurston
8th grade Bentley Allison and Safoorah Kabeer. Those students are to meet Mrs. Bishop in the library right after these announcements for pictures.

The trivia answer is that in 2012 in Rome the world’s largest pizza ever made was over 13,000 square feet.
