Morning Announcements - Tuesday, February 24, 2026

The weather report for today is mostly clear with a high of 34.

Today’s trivia question is: How many days does it take for a drop of water to travel the entire Mississippi River?

Attention 7th graders: Don’t forget to hand in your permission slip and/or chaperone slip if you are planning on going on the Washington, D.C. trip in the fall.

Don’t forget to order your yearbook. The deadline has been extended to March 2. You may order online at RipchoStudio.com and the access key is TGPH4AYU or see that Mrs. Bishop gets your yearbook envelope.

This Friday, February 27, is the Fun Night for students in grades 6,7, & 8 from 6:30-8:30. Every half hour there are different events happening. Gym activities include basketball, bottle bowling, Dodgeball Game, and 3-Point shoot. Have to pay an extra dollar and sign up for the Dodgeball game. Cafeteria activities include musical chairs, hot potato, coin toss, cookie drop and dancing. Remember no cell phones permitted. We want you to enjoy talking to your friends. School rules and dress code will be enforced.

Are you artistic? Do you have any idea for the cover of the yearbook? Then plan on meeting Mrs. Bishop in the library on Wednesday right
after the announcements. She will have information and a packet to share with you.

If you are on the yearbook committee, please check your email for the dates and times that we are meeting this week.

There is no choir practice this week. The next choir practice will be on March 10.

Mr. Amstutz will meet today at 3 p.m. to work with the Speech and Debate members who are competing this weekend at the State Middle School Tournament

The trivia answer is that it takes a drop of water 90 days to travel the entire Mississippi River.

We would like to close with this quote from American author John Steinbeck: “What good is the warmth of summer without the cold of winter to give it sweetness.”
