Recently passed legislation requires school districts to provide annual notice to parents in any school year when it will generally monitor school-issue devices. School-issued devices include hardware, software, devices, and accounts that the school district, acting independently or with a Technology provider, provides to an individual student for the students' dedicated personal use. The Edison Local School District will either directly or through a technology provider, monitor electronic data on school-issued devices during this school year for the circumstances listed in Section 3319.327(B) of the Ohio Revised Code, as is standard practice at school districts across the state.
