Morning Announcements for Wednesday, September 11th

It's that time EHS!! Homecoming tickets will be on sale before school and after school in Mrs. Davis room (204) or during all lunch modules for $15. If you plan to bring a non-Edison student to Homecoming you must pick up a form from Mrs Davis or in the office.  It will need to be completed before they are admitted to the dance on Saturday evening.

Morning Announcements for Tuesday, September 10th

The varsity boys soccer team was electric last night, ripping off 11 goals to defeat Tiffin Columbian in a SBC conference match. Goal scorers included Carter Jones, Trevor Leimeister, Kellen McDonnell, Jose Serna Amaya with 2, and Alex Davidson with 6. The Chargers are back in action tonight facing Mohawk in a JV match at Bolt Field and again Thursday in a big conference match vs Vermilion. Go Chargers!!

Morning Announcements for Monday, September 9th

The Charger Cross Country teams ran under the Lights against many state-ranked teams Saturday night at the Seneca East Stars, Stripes, and Lights Invitational with both teams running awesome and bringing home third-place trophies. Jackson Michaelis, Jacoby Valimont, Everett Gfell, and Grace Anderson all finished in the top 25 to bring home medals. Everett, Jacoby, Caleb Jeremy, Gaius Hotchkiss, Colin Butler, Noah Schoenherr, Gannon Mesenburg, Lily Risner, Zoey Corfman, Juliana Johnson, Autumn Krieg-Moore, Rory Conrad and Aria Hayward all ran their personal record times. The teams will keep the momentum going this Saturday at the Galion Invite.

Morning Announcements for Friday, September 6th

Juniors and Seniors will have the opportunity to travel to Monroeville for their college and career fair on October 30th.  Permission slips are in Mr. Ceccoli's classroom or you can see Mrs. Bohne to sign up.  Please RSVP for this trip by October 15th and check your email for more details.

Pre-ACT is coming up on September 24th for Juniors.  This is a great opportunity to practice for the ACT in March.

ASVAB testing is coming up on October 8th.  If you want to take the ASVAB, please email Mrs. Bohne to let her know you want to sign up for the test.

Morning Announcements for Thursday, September 5th

Students are reminded that picture day is next Tuesday, September 10th, starting at 8 am.  Order forms were passed out last week in homeroom.  If you need another order form, they are available in the rack outside the office door.  You are also able to order online and that information is also on the order form.   On picture day you will take your completed order form along with payment and give it directly to the photographer.

May Student of the Month


The Berlin Heights Kiwanis are pleased to announce Madison Butler is the May Student of the Month at Edison High School.
     
Madison has been chosen for her contributions to Edison High School and the Berlin Heights and Milan communities.  Madison’s school activities:  National Honor Society; honor roll student all 4 years; Golf (4 time district team and varsity member, 2020 Bay Division Sandusky Band Conference Honorable Mention and Newcomer Award, 2021 Bay Division Sandusky Bay Conference 2nd Team and Lowest 9-hole Average Award, 2022 Bay Division Sandusky Band Conference 1st Team, 2023 Bay Division Sandusky Bay Conference 2nd Team, Team SBC Championship, Team Sectionals 1st Place, Team Districts 3rd Place and Team State Championship 11th Place); Cheerleading; Drama Club (Thespian Hours 300+, 2022 President’s List Scholar, Outstanding Technician A Wrinkle In Time, Outstanding Technician The Adventures of Peter Rabbit and His Friends and 2023 State Thespian Conference); Sound Dimension Choir; Do RIGHT committee member; Impact Leadership role with 7th grade middle school students; Climate Leaders Fellowship involving learning and working with students around the world on projects about climate change and presenting assemblies to area middle school students; volunteering at Boots to Grasses Therapeutic Stables and The Chapel (high school worship team audio engineer).  Madison also received the 2024 BGSU Firelands Highest Distinction in Associates 4.0 Achievement Award.  Madison works at Plum Brook Country Club, Ruggles Beach Resort and at Madison’s Tailored Tailsitters Petcare.

Madison plans to attend Bowling Green State University Honors Program majoring in the study of Marine Biology with the hopes to study abroad and pursue a doctorate in her chosen field.  Madison is the daughter of William and Sarah Butler of Milan, Ohio.
