The varsity baseball team improved to 14-1 and 6-0 in the SBC by beating Margaretta 8-6. Davin Wendt led the offense with 2 hits, including a home run, and 2 RBIs. Bryson Wittmer and Gabe Dymond also had 2 hits. Wittmer picked up the win, striking out 11 batters in 4 2/3 innings. Abe Hermes struck out 6 in 2 1/3 innings of relief.
The JV baseball team beat Margaretta 26-12. Every Charger had at least one hit, led by Kaleb Martin, who was 3 for 3 with 5 RBIs. Weston Hoover and Josh Felter each had 2 hits, and Felter added 4 RBIs.
The Lady Chargers beat Vermilion last night at their final home meet, 64-55. Myah Handshoe led the way, winning the discus with a lifetime PR of 81' 5" and was second in shot put. Ingrid Berckmueller won the 400m run and was on the winning 4x1 (Kryger, Stover, Berckmueller, Corfman) and 4x4 (Berckmueller, Anderson, Risner, Corfman) . The ladies swept the 800 and the mile. In the 800, Lily Risner was 1st, Aili Corfman was 2nd, and Julianna Johnson was 3rd. Grace Anderson was first in the mile, Juianna Johnson 2nd, and Ava Gardner 3rd. Autumn Krieg was the champion in both the 100m hurdles and 300m hurdles. Zoey Corfman was 2nd in the 400m. Joy Jordan was 2nd in the pole vault. Kendal Kryger was 3rd in the 100m. Sophie Baker took 3rd in the long jump. The 4x8 also finished first place (Anderson, Risner, A. Corfman, Gardner). The ladies compete again this Friday at the Margaretta Invite.
The Boys track team competed in a dual meet with Vermillion last night. Winning for the boys was Trevor Leimeister in the 100, 200, and 4x1 relay with Carter Jones, Wesley Seel, and Shawn Rowe. The 4x200 made up of Carter Jones, Colin Butler, Wesley Seel, and Shawn Rowe, also took first. Aiden Reeder won the 400-meter dash, and Colin Butler took first in the 300-meter hurdles. Jackson Michaelis rounded out the running events by winning the 800. In the field events Wesley Seel won the long jump, and Blayke McKillips won both the shot put and discus. The team will compete again this Friday at the Margaretta Invite.
April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month: 3 seconds of texting and driving at 65 MPH is equivalent to driving the length of a football field completely blindfolded. Anything can happen in a few seconds. Stay off your phone and drive safely.

Prom tickets will be sold on Wednesday, April 23rd through Friday, May 2nd during lunches or before and after school in the main office. Tickets are $40.00. If you need a guest form, they are located outside the main office.
Interact Club has set up volunteer opportunities with Back to the Wild in Castalia, OH. We will be volunteering May 3rd and 4th. Anyone, whether you are a part of Interact club or not, who would like to participate can sign up by scanning the QR code posted on the flyer located on the Interact Club bulletin board. EHS is hosting a clothes drive for students and staff the week of the 28th-May 2nd. Bring the clothes to your homeroom and place them in the designated bins. If you do not have a homeroom, you can put your items in the bin in the office. The homeroom who has the most clothes donated by Friday, the 2nd, will receive donuts in the morning on the following Monday. If you have any questions, please contact Ezri Rutger or Becca Houser.

Bring money for lunch as we plan to stop and eat on the way to Kalahari. Permission slips are due ASAP so get those turned in to Mrs. Bohne, please.
