The varsity baseball team improved to 19-1 with a 12-1 win against Western Reserve on senior day. Tristian Wetherill had 3 hits, including a double, and 2 RBIs. Chaz Smith, Abe Hermes, and Kyle Aguilar each had 2 hits. Hermes doubled and Aguilar had 2 RBIs. Davin Wendt, Eli Hermes, Keegan Dingle, Aaron Febbo, and Bryson Wittmer all singled. Wendt picked up the win on the mound, giving up just one hit while striking out 7 over 3 1/3 innings.
The JV baseball team beat Western Reserve 11-2. Elijah Ruck had 3 hits and 3 RBIs. Joel Smith had a single and 2 RBIs. Owen Price and Ian Preston each had one hit and one RBI. Weston Hoover had one RBI. Ruck was the winning pitcher, striking out 5 batters in 3 innings.
The tennis team participated in the Port Clinton Doubles Tournament on Friday. At first doubles, the team of Wade Ruggles/Adin Colbert finished 4th, at second doubles, Jace Danda/Xander Gearheart finished 7th, at third doubles, Mary Moon/Kellyn Ritchie finished 4t,h and the 4th doubles team of Kaden Mees/Jace Pinkston finished third. It was a fun night of tennis! The team is home later today against St. Joe. Go Chargers!
Attention all Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors. It's time to think about next school year, and if you want to have the opportunity to be on the amazing Firelands Challenge team, which is going for its 14th consecutive championship, it's time to try out! Tryouts will be on May 19th and 20th. Please check your email for information about content and when you can try out. There is also a Google form in the email that you need to fill out. Please see Mrs. Facemire if you have any questions. We are excited to continue our tradition and look forward to working with next year's team!
Any boy or girl interested in going out for golf, there will be a short meeting after school in Mr. Ceccoli's room on Wednesday, May 14th. Coach Fischer will have a sign-up and pass out schedules.
Mandatory cheerleading tryout clinics are Tuesday, May 13th-Thursday, May 15th from 4:30-6:00, with official tryouts being on Friday, May 16th starting at 5:00 pm
There is another Interact Club volunteer opportunity happening on Wednesday, May 14th, after school, by the main doors. You will have the opportunity to work with Mr. G and other Interact members to plant flowers and bring the summer feeling to our school! If you are interested in joining, please sign up in the Google Classroom and bring gardening gloves. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs Roan or Leah Gill.
New CCP students...Mrs. Beaning will be here on May 14th to meet with you for orientation and to discuss CCP plans for next year. Check your email for your time that you signed up to meet with her. If you did not sign up and want to meet with her, see Mrs. Bohne to get scheduled.

Hey, Cool Cats! Show Choir is presenting their spring music review of Teen Beach Movie Saturday and Sunday May 17th & 18th @ 7pm. Tickets are $6 for students and seniors and $7 for adults. Hope to see you there!!
