Morning Announcements - Thursday, November 30, 2023

The Charger Café will serve mini corn dogs, or Daily Grab or Salad Bar, seasoned corn, fresh veggie with hummus, fruit choice, and milk for lunch.

The weather for today is mostly cloudy and windy with a high of 51.

Today’s trivia question is: How bright is a full moon compared to a half moon?

Power of the Pen will meet today, November 30 from 3-4:30 in Mrs. Wobser’s room.

Mr. Amstutz will meet with Speech competitors on Friday, December 1 immediately after school.Congressional debaters should have ALL 12 pieces of legislation prepared to debate on Saturday.  There are over 20 Congressional debaters in one chamber!

Donations are now being accepted for Project Happy. Acceptable donations are small toys, art supplies, treats, personal care items, hats and gloves.December 15 is the last day to bring them in. Our goal is to reach 200 boxes.

Monday, December 4 is Winter Sports Picture Day. These teams are getting their pictures taken:
7th & 8th grade girls’ basketball,
7th & 8th grade boys’ basketball,
7th & 8th grade wrestlers, and
7th & 8th grade basketball cheerleaders.
If you wish to purchase you pictures, you will need to bring your filled out envelope complete with payment to school on that day. Envelopes were handed out by your coach. There is no online ordering.

And now the sports update: The 8th grade girls lost 51-18 last night to Perkins. Peyton Werner was the leading scorer with 8 points.

The 8th grade boys basketball team lost to the Perkins Pirates last night. The Chargers were led in scoring by Wes Seel with 9 points, Dominic Sallee and Kyle Robinson both had 5 points, Weston Hoover had 4, Connor Goodwin chipped in 3 and Dane Chaney added 2.The Chargers got steals and rebounds from both Gavin Mullens and Kaden Mees.

The 7th grade Lady Chargers played Perkins at home and came away with a 23-17 win. Kailyn Dickman lead all scorers with 18pts. Ava Jones added 3pts and Gia Heater finished with 2pts.

The 7th grade boys basketball team beat the Perkin Pirates. It was a great defensive game with a lot of players stepping up. Leading the way scoring was Mason Leber with 9pts, Evan Schnittker with 7pts, James Sebolt with 4pts, Talon Wechter with 3points, Owen Thurston, Carson Eckel, and Ben Rosekelly rounded out the scoring with 2 points each.
