Morning Announcements - Thursday, April 25, 2024

The Charger Café will serve beef and cheesy nacho with salsa & sour cream or daily grab & go, refried beans, fruit choice and milk for lunch.

Today’s trivia question is: In what year were the Cleveland Cavaliers founded? Musicians listen up-6th grade band members will have full band today April 25 and on Friday, April 26. The 7th and 8th grade bands will have combined rehearsals today April 25 and Friday, April 26. The Choir will meet today April 25.

Power of the Pen 7th and 8th grade team members will meet before school Tuesday, April 30th, at 7:30 a.m. in Mrs. Wobser's room to discuss our end of the year celebration details. Please make every effort to attend. See Mrs. Wobser with any questions.

The Charger Track and Field teams competed yesterday at Port Clinton. While the girls came up a few points short of a win, the boys defeated the Redskins by a score of 89 to 37.  First place efforts for the girls went to Lyla Stoll in the 800, Juliana Johnson in the 1600, Tessa Moore in high jump, Autumn Krieg in the 200 hurdles, the 4 x 800 relay team of Juliana Johnson, Stella Bloom, Lyla Stoll, and Madison Geiger,  and the 4 x 100 relay team of Morgan Handshoe, Gena Walton, Lola McKenzie, and Aria Hayward.  Aria also won both the 100 and 200, earning her first ACE of the season.  Other Chargers earning points were Kayla Bernard, Taylor Laughlin, and Harper Salmons. 

In the boys meet, Carter Jones, Ben Rosekelly, Mason Leber, and Austin Mankin all earned ACES for winning all three of their events.  First place efforts went to Trenton Williams in the 100, Ben Rosekelly in the 400, Mason Leber in the 1600 and 800, Austin Mankin in the 110 and 200 hurdles, Dominic Sallee in high jump, the 4 x 800 relay team of Israeyl Bellman, Max Welch, Tyler Leimeister, and Brenden Butler, the 4
x 100 relay of Trenton Williams, Bentley Illuzzi, Granstyn Yamanouchi, and Carter Jones, the 4 x 200 relay of Will Corfman, Austin Mankin, Ben Rosekelly, and Carter Jones, and the 4 x 400 relay of Will Corfman, Carter Jones, Mason Leber, and Ben Rosekelly. Other Chargers scoring points were Jackson Esser, Gannon Mesenburg, Mason Murphy, Caleb Reedy, Max Welch, and Calieb Wigner.  Both teams compete again on Monday at Norwalk.
