Morning Announcements for Tuesday, March 26th

Lady Chargers went down 7-5 to a really good New London team to start the softball season. Audrey Linder, Ivy Kluding, Abby Cloud, and Adison Wechter each collected multiple hits. Natalie Desautels also had one hit to go along with the effort play of the game.


The varsity baseball team started the season with a 9-7 win against Firelands. Davin Wendt led the offense with 2 hits, including a triple, and scored 3 runs.  Tristian Wetherill tripled and had 3 RBIs.  Blake Simon had 2 hits.  Simon picked up the win on the mound.  Abe Hermes and Aiden Drake both pitched in relief.  Drake picked up a save, giving up just 1 hit in 3 scoreless innings of relief.   The JV baseball team lost to Firelands 7-2.  Owen Price, Brody McFadden, Eli Hermes, and Evan Perry each had one hit.  Elijah Ruck pitched well, giving up just 2 hits with 5 strikeouts in 4 innings.  Jacob Kuhl gave up one hit in 2 innings of relief.


The Edison Birthplace Association is looking for part-time/weekend tour guides. We are looking for self-motivated individuals who can learn the tour information and who can have fun interacting with the public. You will meet and work with interesting people from all over the world. If you would like to become a tour guide at a national historic site, please come listen to our presentation this Wednesday during Charger Period. This job looks great on a resume and college applications!


There will be a meeting on Wednesday, March 27th at 3:30 pm in the cafeteria for anyone who is interested in playing high school girls soccer this upcoming fall.  Off-season and summer schedules will be shared with the group.  Bring any questions you may have for the head coach to the meeting.


Any current or future College Credit Plus student must have their letter of intent turned in to Mrs. Bohne by Thursday or you will not be eligible to take college classes next school year.  See Mrs. Bohne if you have questions.


Attention juniors and seniors: Prom tickets are $30.00 per person and will be on sale during lunch starting Friday, March 22nd. The deadline to purchase a ticket is Thursday, March 28th before Spring Break. Hope to see you there! 


For all who are playing football next season, there is a meeting on Wednesday during the Charger period.  Be sure to sign up.


Today we will be hosting a Firelands Challenge Match at 10:10 in the gym.  We will follow the A.M. Assembly Schedule.  Students will be called to the gym from their 3rd-period class, cell phones must be left in class. Students are reminded to enter the gym single file and to use the aisle ways.  Students are to be respectful and courteous to the participating teams at all times.  Good luck to Mrs. Roan Mrs. Facemire and the Firelands Challenge Team.


Attention Freshmen - Jostens is coming tomorrow during Charger Period to take ring orders or answer any questions you might have.  Please sign up during Charger Period if you need to turn in a ring order or ask questions.
