Morning Announcements for Wednesday, March 27th

The tennis team won their season opener against Oak Harbor 4-1! Winning at singles were Parker Campbell, Noah Proctor and Aidan Colbert. Winning for the team at doubles was the No.1 team of Liz Campbell and Andrew Gray. The team hits the road next with matches at Norwalk, Vermilion, and St. Joe!! Great start to the season!!


The Boys track team beat Huron in a dual meet 75-64 last night. Winning in their events are Treyvon Williams in the 100m dash and Long Jump, Aiden Reeder in the 400m, Jackson Michaelis in the 800m, Kellen McDonnell in the mile, Everett Gfell in the 2 mile, J Williams in shot put and discus. The 4x4 of Jacoby Valimont Jackson Michaelis Chase King and Aiden Reeder and The 4x8 of Jackson Michaelis Kellen McDonnell Jacoby Valimont and Chase King also won their events.  Great job guys!


The Lady Chargers had their first track meet of the season last night at Huron. Taking first place for the team were Jadelyn Ziegelhofer in the pole vault, Katie Cumston in the high jump, Lydia McQuillen in the shot put, Sophie Baker in the discus, and the girls 4x2 of Kryger, Chaput, Corfman, and Berckmueller. The ladies will compete again this Saturday at Monroeville. 


Congratulations to the Firelands Challenge team for earning Edison’s 12th consecutive championship title. Thank you to the students, staff, and administrators who supported the team yesterday and throughout the entire season! Finally, a special thank you to our seniors for their dedication and leadership! We are grateful for you and your contributions to Edison’s legacy of excellence!


Attention Interact Members: We still have a few volunteer spots available for the Edison Eclipse Event.  Please note that volunteers will need to arrive by 11:30 AM and will be asked to stay until 5:30 PM.  Lunch will be provided. 


A reminder to freshmen - Jostens is coming here today during Charger Period.  If you need to turn in your class ring order or just want to ask questions, please sign up to see the Jostens rep during Charger period.  


The Edison Birthplace Association is looking for part-time/weekend tour guides. We are looking for self-motivated individuals who can learn the tour information and who can have fun interacting with the public. You will meet and work with interesting people from all over the world. If you would like to become a tour guide at a national historic site, please come listen to our presentation this Wednesday during Charger Period. This job looks great on a resume and college applications!


There will be a meeting today at 3:30 pm in the cafeteria for anyone who is interested in playing high school Girls soccer this upcoming fall.  Off-season and summer schedules will be shared with the group.  Bring any questions you may have for the head coach to the meeting.


Any current or future College Credit Plus student must have their letter of intent turned in to Mrs. Bohne by Thursday or you will not be eligible to take college classes next school year.  See Mrs. Bohne if you have questions.


Attention juniors and seniors: Prom tickets are $30.00 per person and will be on sale during lunch starting Friday, March 22nd. The deadline to purchase a ticket is Thursday, March 28th before Spring Break. Hope to see you there!

Edison's Student Council would like to invite you to participate in their spring scavenger hunt. Last night they hid eggs all around the school. Inside each egg are various prizes. We encourage students to look for them throughout today. Happy hunting!
