Today at 4, bowling is at Lakota. And at 6:00, varsity wrestling is home with Fremont Ross. Good luck Firelands Challenge today on the last round of the regular season They take on Sandusky and New London.
 
The Lady Chargers dropped a close one 39-38 to Western Reserve last night. Lindsay Roberts led the way with 11 points and 9 rebounds. Also scoring for the Chargers were Kalli Quillen with 7 points, Izzie Sanabria with 7 points, Ivy Kluding with 6 points, Jillian McDonnell with 3 points, Jorja Byington with 2 points, and Natalie Leimeister with 2 points. The Lady Chargers will be back in action on Saturday at Oak Harbor. 
 
The Edison Middle School Drama Club will present A Wrinkle in Time this week Thursday and Saturday at 7:30 in the high school auditorium. Student tickets are $5 at the door on the nights of the show.
 
Congratulations to Lindsay Roberts and Jackson Berardi as being chosen December’s athletes of the month. Over the seven games in December, Lindsay has been a leader on and off the floor while continuing to excel in the classroom. She averaged 10.7 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1 block per game during that stretch. She scored 18 points against Willard, 14 against Calvert, 13 against Huron with 13 rebounds, and 11 points and 14 rebounds against Oak Harbor.  Jackson is currently 17-3 on the season and ranked #4 in the state in Division III.  Jackson started the season ranked outside of the top 25 but has had some big wins during the month of December.  His first big win came against Owen Box from Otsego who he lost to in the match to qualify for state last year. Jackson pulled off a huge upset by beating Ethan Green of Fremont Ross 5-3 in overtime at the Edison Holiday Tournament.  Lindsay & Jackson, please come to the athletic office at this time. 
 
A reminder that mock trial will meet today and tomorrow after school in Mr Meredith’s room. 
 
Attention students interested in participating this season in track and field. Please take time today to sign up in Coach Shelley's room and pick up the informational packet and yearly order form. Again Student's interested in track and field need to sign up today in Coach Shelley's room. 
 
Chess Club will meet Wednesday after school in Mr. Newton’s room. 
 
Attention all students interested in working outdoors with kids of all ages, Sports Force Parks is hiring a variety of positions for the Spring and Summer seasons. From working on the Field crew to the amenities crew, there is a position that suits everyone. Representatives from Sports Force will be here over the lunch periods this Friday, January 21st. Please stop and see them to see if Sports Force park is the place for you.
 
Speech & Debate Club members - Registration for Saturday's Rhodes tournament closes today, so be sure to sign up on Classroom! The sign up sheet for the State Qualifying Tournament has also been posted. Miss Baughman will be here today after school to work with students and go over any questions.
