Morning Announcements for Friday, October 15th

Today The Charger Cafe will serve a personal pan pizza or Daily Grab & Go, Romaine side salad, fresh fruit and milk for lunch.

Today’s trivia question is: The Statue of Liberty features 7 points in her crown, what do they represent?

The 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams and the cross country teams will compete at their SBC Tournaments on Saturday.

We wish all the teams good luck.

Saturday night, the 7th and 8th grade middle school band and the mini majorettes will be performing at the Edison Annual Band Review.

Attention all student council reps: you are to report to your chief of affairs officer today during lunch and let them know how many chairs you are going to need for the ceremony.  Chief of Affairs officers need to get the check off list from Mrs. Bishop before lunch.

Congratulations to the seventh grade academic challenge team for placing second and to the eighth grade team for taking third place.

Picture Retake Day at the middle school is October 22.

All students who were absent on the original Picture Day back in September or new to the building should plan on getting their picture taken. These pictures will be used for the yearbook.

If you are not satisfied with your photos from the original Picture Day, just return the entire package on October 22 to get them retaken.

There will be a wrestling meeting today for any 7th or 8th grade who is interested in wrestling.  There will be an announcement this afternoon with more info.

The answer for today’s trivia question is that the points of the Statue of Liberty’s crown represent one for each of the continents.

We would like to close with this quote from Princess Diana: “Carry out a random act of kindness, with no exception of reward, knowing that one day someone might do the same for you.”
