Boys/Girls Cross Country - Districts

This past weekend both the boys and girls cross country teams qualified for the regional championships this next Saturday in Tiffin. The girls finished third in a 12 team district field with junior Abby Lesniak winning her second district title in three years. Abby also broke a 14 year old school record with a time of 18 minutes and 7 seconds. Also scoring for the Lady Chargers in order of finish were Paige Schaefer, Peyton Facemire, Lindsay Sneider and Katie Jeremay. The boys placed fourth in the 13 team district. Leading the way for the Chargers with a third place finish was senior Tyler Coon who ran fast enough to break the old school record by one half of a second in a time of 15 minutes 57.1 seconds. Following close behind in fourth place was Daniel Lambert. Other scores for the team were Aidan Anderson, Eli Webb and Dax Austin.
