Morning Announcement for Monday, November 18

Today’s Thanksgiving joke is: What do you call a running turkey?  

The lunch menu for today is chicken fries with sauce and a roll or chef’s choice grab and go or salad bar, Romaine salad, fresh veggies, assorted fruit, and milk.  

Picture Retake Day is scheduled for this Wednesday, November 20.  Any students who wish to get their picture retake has to bring back their original packet of pictures to give to the photographer on Wednesday. Any new students, students or staff members who were absent on Picture Day should plan on getting their picture taken on Retake Day for the yearbook.  If you wish to purchase pictures, you should get a picture envelope from Mrs. Bishop or stop in the main office.    

The Ninth Annual Turkey Trot Canned Food Drive starts today and runs through next Monday, November 25. Edison Middle School Student Council representatives will be in the gym in the morning to collect your non-perishable items. In order to enter the drawing for various prizes, you have to bring in 2 non-perishable items and participate in the Turkey Trot. Please check the expiration dates.

The 5th grade Academic Challenge team meets today and on Wednesday.

The 8th grade Academic Challenge has practice everyday this week.

Power of the Pen meets today, Tuesday and Thursday from 3-4:30.

Writing Club meets on Wednesday from 3-4.
