The Sources of Strength campaign for January is Positive Friends & Mentors. Stop and see Mrs. Wilson or a Peer Leader If you would like a polaroid picture taken with your Positive Friend or Mentor to display on the poster in the hallway. 
 
Our coaches have chosen the Athletes of the Month for December. Jillian Mc Donnell and Max Hermes. Congratulations Jill and Max.  Stop into the athletic office to receive your award.
 
The Charger boys and girls bowling teams both came out on top against Huron in a home conference match last week!  Leading the ladies was Addyson Puraty with a nice 376 series and Lydia McQuillen with 307. Leading the way for the guys was Wyatt Ball with 382 and Aydan Houser with 365.
 
Charger boys bowling team took on SJCC in a home conference matchup yesterday. Boys started out hot and took a commanding leading after individual games and pulled away with a nice win!  Leading the guys was Aydan Houser with an outstanding  478 series, 24 pins off the school record!  Right behind was Wyatt Ball with 385
 
Congratulations to the Edison Speech and Debate team which placed 2nd out of 19 competing teams at the Hathaway Brown tournament in Shaker Heights on Saturday.  In the Varsity Division, individual winners for Edison include 1st place honors to the Policy Debate team of Brienna Marcy and Lily Kreglow; 1st place trophies to Jeff Esser and Ilah Reynolds in Duo Interpretation; 2nd place to George Rhodes in International Extemporaneous Speaking; 3rd place to Rory Conrad in Prose/Poetry; 4th place to Grace Anerson in Declamation; 5th place honors to Noah Proctor in Dramatic Interpretation; 6th place to Addy Puraty in International Extemp and in the Novice Category, Ethan Moore, 2nd place in Declamation..  The final regular season tournament will be January 28 at Solon High School.  Speech and Debate Club members should sign up to compete and rehearse on the Speech & Debate bulletin board by the Main Office.
 
The boys varsity basketball team lost Saturday night to Keystone 72-49. The boys were led in scoring by Kayden Bourget, who had 17 points, Troy Rutherford had 11 points, and Luke Blatnik added 9 points. The boys are back in action tonight at Bellevue.
