Morning Announcements for Tuesday, May 23rd

The Charger Café will be serving breakfast for lunch or Salad Bar or Daily Grab & Go, hash browns, vegetable juice, assorted fruit, and milk for lunch today.

The weather for today is mostly sunny and pleasant with a high of 74.

Today’s trivia question is: What percentage of Americans plan to cook out on Memorial Day?

The 2022-2023 EMS Yearbooks were handed out yesterday during homerooms.  If you didn’t order one, now is your chance to get one.  There are a few extra yearbooks for sale. They will be on a first come first serve basis.  Put your $20 in an envelope with your name on it and see that Mrs. Bishop gets it.

The deadline for handing in your Edison High School Summer Volley Youth Camp form and money is tomorrow May 24.

Attention all 6th & 7th-grade students: there will be a brief meeting on Thursday, May 25 for any boy or girl interested in running cross county this fall.  The meeting will be held in Mrs. Vajda’s room in the 8th-grade hallway immediately after homeroom.

The Student Council is sponsoring an 8th-grade dance next week for our 8th-grade students only.  The dress attire for this event will be for the ladies a school-appropriate dress, a skirt and blouse, or nice pants and top.   Gentlemen are asked to wear a buttoned shirt like a polo with cargo shorts or khakis pants.  No denim or athletic wear is permitted. If you have any questions, ask your reps or Mrs. Bishop.  Listen in tomorrow for more details.

Attention all pole vaulters:  You need to go to see Coach Butler in her room right after these announcements.

The answer to today’s trivia question is that 60% of Americans plan to cook out for Memorial Day.

We would like to close with this unknown quote: Excuses will always be there for you.  Opportunity won’t.
