Morning Announcements for Thursday, May 25th

May I have your attention for these announcements?  Good Morning Edison Middle School Students and Staff.  It is Thursday, May 25, 2023.

The Charger Café will serve Charger Café Mac-n-Cheese, Salad Bar or Daily Grab & Go, Romaine side salad, fresh veggies with hummus, assorted fruit, and milk for lunch today.

The weather for today is partly sunny and windy with a high of 58.

Today’s trivia question is: How much milk does it take to make one gallon of ice cream?

There is still time to get a 2022-2023 Edison Middle School yearbook.  There are 12 extra yearbooks left for sale. They will be on a first come first serve basis.  Put your $20 in an envelope with your name on it and see that Mrs. Bishop gets it.

Attention all 6th & 7th-grade students: Today May 25 there is a meeting for any boy or girl interested in running cross country this fall in Mrs. Vajda’s room. Please report to her room right after these announcements.

The Student Council is sponsoring an 8th-grade dance for our 8th-grade students only.  The dress attire for this event will be for the ladies a school-appropriate dress, a skirt and blouse, or nice pants and top.   Gentlemen are asked to wear a buttoned shirt like a polo with their cargo shorts or khakis pants. No denim or athletic wear is permitted. The dance is from 6:30 – 8:30 pm on Wednesday, May 31 in the cafeteria. Tickets are $5 per person and will be sold next week. No tickets will be sold at the door and you must have a ticket to get in.   If you have any questions, ask your reps or Mrs. Bishop.   Listen in tomorrow for more details.

The 7th-grade student council reps are to meet Mrs. Bishop in the cafeteria at 8:50 am today.

The answer to today’s trivia question is that it takes about 3 gallons of fresh milk to make one gallon of ice cream.

We would like to close with this unknown quote: Life is like ice cream ……enjoy it before it melts.

Thank you and have a great day!
