Morning Announcements - Thursday, October 15, 2020

Happy Birthday to Jillian Johnson, Gideon Kellenbarger, Duke Hermes & Darin Harris! 
 
Tomorrow morning, Jayla, Torri & Alli will be participating in district tennis at Port Clinton - good luck ladies At 5:00 today, JV & varsity volleyball will be at Oak Harbor.
 
On Tuesday night, the varsity volleyball team beat Margaretta 25-23, 25-13, 25-14.  Lilli Schuster led the team with 14 kills, followed by Kira Appeman with 11 kills and Lindsay Roberts with 7 kills.  Olivia Vitaz served 13 points with 4 aces and dished out 33 assists.  Appeman led the defense with 12 digs, followed by Danielle Blatnik with 8 digs and Kayla Macuso with 7 digs.  Lydia Woodyard added 4 kills and Deana Blatnik had 2 kills.
 
The Edison Girls Soccer team ended their regular season with a road win over Sandusky with a final score of 4 to 0. Amazingly Abigail Hearing scored all four of the Lady Chargers goals. Two of those goals came from assists from Morgan Moon and Lauren Craig. Another solid defensive effort was put in by Katelyn Chenevey, Livia Lowery,  Madison Chaput, Haley Chaput, Brienna Marcy, and Claire Treece. The Chargers will play on Tuesday at a sectional tournament game against Woodmore at 5p
 
Senior members of National Honor Society - Don't forget that your senior dues need to be paid in the main office by next Friday, Oct 23. Please pick up a form from Mrs. Facemire before you pay.
 
GREAT NEWS!!! Snow Trails in Mansfield Ohio will be opening up this season when the weather permits. Edison student's, friend's, and family members will once again have the opportunity to purchase season tickets at a reduced price.  Anyone interested in skiing or snowboarding and would like more information on this year's rates for season passes should see coach Shelley.
 
Drama Club - Set construction, Light, and Sound crew will work after school today from 3 to 4, NEXT Wednesday after school from 3 - 4, and next Thursday in the evening from 7 - 8:30.  Please check the call board for information and email Mrs. Facemire if you have any questions or can not attend.
 
Speech & Debate Club Members: Miss Baughman is available for speech practices after school every day this week. The first tournament is less than 3 weeks away, so be sure to sign up for practices!
