Happy Birthday to Cadin Baughman, Jeffrey Snyder, Anna Smith, Ruby Knowles & Jayne O’Dor!

 

Today at 4:00, boys & girls track will be at the SBC meet held at Port Clinton. At 4:15, tennis will be at home with Oak Harbor. At 4:45, Jv baseball and softball will be at home with Bellevue, and also at 4:45, varsity baseball and softball will travel to Bellevue for their games.

 

Congratulations to our April Athletes of the Month!  Thomas Simon and Torri Keyser.  These student-athletes have been nominated by their coaches. Thomas pitched a perfect game on April 26th against Willard.  He is currently 6-0 with a 0.78 ERA and 65 strikeouts in 36 innings pitched.  Teams are batting just .089 against him.  Thomas is also currently batting .339 with 8 RBI's. Torri's motivation and commitment to her sport are unmatched. She shows up on the days that are challenging and pushes herself and her teammates to become better. She balances her academics and athletics flawlessly. Torri is consistently a 5' high jumper and recently went 49.46 in the 300m hurdles. 

 

Attention French Club members, all candy money and honors cord money should be to madam no later than Friday May 14th. You can actually turn the money in today if you have it!  

 

The Berlin Heights Kiwanis Club in conjunction with the EHS Key Club is conducting a gently-used shoe drive.  The shoes will be given to young female entrepreneurs in Haiti Honduras, Togo, Mali, Indonesia and Poland to start up businesses to pull them out of poverty and give them some financial security.  Drop off your gently used shoes, sandals, sneakers, boots or slippers in the box located at the main entrance this week or early next week! Let’s do this Edison High School!
