Sectional Final

The Girls Soccer Team are Sectional Champions! The Lady Chargers won a hard-fought battle in the rain last night. After being tied 2-2 for most of the game, the team scored 3 unanswered goals to advance to the District Tournament. The team was led by Amelia Chartrant with 4 goals, and Joy Jordan with a goal and 2 assists. Along with great goalkeeping by Lydia Mcquillen, the Chargers had strong play by Lainie Keegan, Alyssa Rice, Peyton Koch, and the rest of the team. Congratulations ladies!

Sectional Semi-Final vs Cardinal Stritch

The girls soccer team won their sectional semi-final 8-0. The team tied the school record for shutouts and goalkeeper Lydia McQuillen recorded her 7th shutout, also tying the school record. The Lady Chargers are back in action at home on Thursday at 5.

Varsity vs Port Clinton

The Girls Soccer Team put together a season-best performance last night against Port Clinton, winning 4-2 in the rain. Goals were scored by Amelia Chartrant with 2, Joy Jordan and Ingrid Berckmueller. Assists came from Kellyn Ritchie with 2, and Julie Willgrube and Lainie Keegan with 1. Stand out performances came from all around, including Lainie Keegan, Alyssa Rice, Abi Hearing, Haley Chaput and Lydia Mcquillen.

Varsity and Jv vs Ashland

The girls’ JV and Varsity soccer teams traveled to Division 1 Ashland last night with a full roster of 23 girls, to take on Ashland's 40-plus players. The Edison teams played with heart but ultimately fell 0-1 and 0-3. Commendable play and effort were given by all, especially by Piper Rup, Joy Jordan, Julie Willgrube, and goalkeeper Ilah Reynolds.

Varsity Soccer vs Riverdale

The girls soccer team played Riverdale on Saturday and held on to secure a tie while being short handed.  Lydia McQuillen and the defense recorded the 6th shutout of the season and will look to tie the school record tomorrow night at Ashland.
