Morning Announcements - Tuesday, September 10, 2019

Happy Birthday to Arianna Heyl, Adam Frederick & Aidan Metz! 

At 3:00 today, boys golf is home with Port Clinton. At 4:15, girls tennis is home with Willard. At 4:30, freshman volleyball is at Brookside. At 5:00 boys JV soccer is home with Perkins, And also at 5:00, girls JV soccer is at Sandusky.

The boys varsity soccer team continued their winning streak with a 5-0 win at Old Fort. Goals scored by Ian Janssen, Dylan O’Dell, Sam Lopez and Jacob Lombardi. Up next for the boys is a home SBC match up with Oak Harbor on Thursday.

The girls tennis team beat St. Joe on Monday 5-0. Winning at singles were Jayla Medina, Emily Vogus and Alli Vogus. Winning at doubles were the teams of Kaylee Ries/Torri Keyser and Emily Moore/Lindsey Kowalski. The team is now 9-2.

Tomorrow is Picture Day at EHS!  Students will start being called down at 8 am to report to the gym.  Please listen for the announcements as to when you should report.  All students must get their picture taken even if you are not purchasing a packet.  If you are purchasing pictures, please take your order form and payment to the photographer.  

Today after school, anyone who would like to help put up 2, 977 American flags to honor the victims of 9-11 should meet in the library at 3:00. These flags will be placed in the front yard of the school. We could really use your help!  Please consider this an honor and stay to help.  This project should and take ½ hour and will be greatly appreciated! 

Attention Policy Debate team members- Mr. Amstutz will meet after school on Wednesday to go over new cases and distribute the negative disadvantage Baylor Briefs.  Please make every effort to attend this meeting from 3-4pm in the conference room.

We will be offering the ASVAB Military Placement Test on Tuesday, October 2nd at 8:00am. If you are interestested in being in the military this is a test you will need to take.  See Ms. Spademan or sign up at the Counselor's bulletin board by  Thursday, September 26th, 2019

Attention Juniors and seniors: BGSU Firelands College is hosting college night tonight from 6-7:30! They will be bringing over 70 college reps for you to speak with.  Grab your parents or friends and make plans to be at BGSU on Tuesday September 10th!

The first meeting of the year for seniors in National Honor Society will be today, right afterschool in Mrs. Facemire's room. If you can not attend you need to see Mrs. Facemire before the meeting.

Any student interested in joining Key Club is reminded to pay your $10 dues to the office by Sept. 20.

Junior and seniors are reminded if they are interested in doing ACT bootcamp to get your registration and money to the office by September 16th. For more information check your school email! 

Parlez-vous français?  Think you might like to know a little more about French and world cultures?  Join us this Thursday morning, September 12 starting at 7:25 in room 503 for our first meeting of the year and see what French Club has in store this year!  A bientot!

Students interested in auditioning or signing up for crew work for Radium Girls, the Edison Drama Club's fall production, are invited to attend a short meeting Wednesday, September 11 at 3:00 in the auditorium. 

Students interested in Speech and Debate are reminded to turn in their surveys this week! If you missed the first meeting, Ms. Baughman will be here on Wednesday morning in the library with information. Self-nomination forms for officers are also due Wednesday.
