Morning Announcement for Thursday, November 14

Here is today’s joke:  What do you call a turkey on the day after Thanksgiving?  

The lunch menu for today is old school pizza burger or corn dog
or chef’s choice grab and go or salad bar, potato smiles, fresh veggies, assorted fruit, and milk.  

The Edison Middle School Parents Club is hosting a casual dance for just our 7th & 8th graders this tomorrow night from 6:30 - 8:30 pm.  Admission is only $1 and entrance is through the gym lobby doors.  There will be dancing in the gym and a few snacks in the cafeteria. No Cell Phones are permitted and the School Dress Code and Rules will be enforced.  

Power of the Pen meets on Thursday, November 14 from 3-4:30 p.m.

Picture Retake Day is scheduled for Wednesday, November 20. Any students who wish to get their picture retake has to bring back their original packet of pictures to give to the photographer on that day. Any new students, students or staff members who were absent on Picture Day should plan on getting their picture taken on Retake Day for the yearbook. If you wish to purchase pictures, you should get a picture envelope from Mrs. Bishop or stop in the main office.    

Today the 8th grade will practice in the gym from 6-7:30 pm and 7th grade boys basketball team from 7:30-9. On Friday both the 7th and 8th grade boys basketball team will practice at the elementary from 3:30-5:30.  There will be a mandatory parent/player immediately following Friday's practice in the Edison Elementary Cafeteria at 5:45 p.m.

The 9th Annual Turkey Trot Canned Food Drive will start on Monday, November 18 and runs through Monday, November 25. Student council reps will be in the gym in the morning to collect your non-perishable items. In order to enter the drawing for various prizes, you have to bring in 2 non-perishable items and participate in the Turkey Trot.  Please check the expiration dates. More information will be shared tomorrow.
