Today the yearbook envelopes were handed out.  This year’s book will have 48 pages of pictures, including the Washington, D.C. trip, Turkey Trot, Awesomeness Day and many more.  The cost of a yearbook is only $15.  You may order online at ybpay.lifetouch.com or return your envelope to your homeroom teacher or give it to Mrs. Bishop.  The deadline is March 2 for placing your order.

Any 7th or 8th grade boy or girl planning to join the track teams this spring needs to sign up on the sheets outside of Coach Vajda’s room.  Be sure to include your afternoon bus number on the signup sheet.  When you sign up, it is important that you take a practice schedule from the folder next to the signup sheets. Make sure you give that schedule to your parents.  If you are planning to join, but have not had a physical yet this school year, please see Coach Vajda or Mrs. Bishop for the forms.  Lastly, if you are interested in pole vault as an event this year, please put a star next to your name when you sign up.

The answer for today’s trivia question is that the musical blockbuster that Julie Andrews won the Academy Award for Best Actress was Mary Poppins.

We would like to close with this quote from Thomas Jefferson: “Honesty is the first chapter of the book wisdom.”
