February Student of the Month:

The Berlin Heights Kiwanis are pleased to announce Jonathon Hrivnak is the February Student of the Month at Edison High School.
   
Jonathon has been chosen for his contributions to Edison High School and the Berlin Heights and Milan communities.  Jonathon’s school activities:  Math Club; Student Council Co-President; National Honor Society; Spanish Honor Society; varsity cross country; varsity track and Student Athlete Leadership Team member.  

Jonathon plans to attend The University of Toledo Honors College majoring in Accounting.  Jonathon is the son of Tom and Jamie Hrivnak of Norwalk, Ohio.

January Student of the Month - Morgan Otto

The Berlin Heights Kiwanis are pleased to announce Morgan Otto is the January Student of the Month at Edison High School.
   
Morgan has been chosen for his contributions to Edison High School and the Berlin Heights and Milan communities.  Morgan’s school activities:  Firelands Challenge Team Member (Co-Captain); Show Choir; Stage Band; Drama Club; French Honor Society; track team member; Early Readers; 4-H Super Showman 2018 and Erie County Fair King 1st Runner-Up.  

Morgan plans to attend Ohio University majoring in Mechanical Engineering and work in the automotive field.  Morgan is the son of Ryan and Jennifer Otto of Berlin Heights, Ohio.

Norwalk Reflector: Pleasant Elementary, Edison Middle schools honored by ODE

To qualify, schools must earn straight A’s on all value-added measures on their state report card. According to the ODE, “the calculation is designed to estimate the influence that school districts and buildings have on the academic progress rates of student populations from year to year” and more specifically, “the value-added effects” for each subject and grade on which students are tested.
