Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten registration will be completed electronically with the FinalForms program.  You can register your child starting Thursday, June 4.  To register your child please go to https://edisonmilan-oh.finalforms.com and click NEW ACCOUNT under the PARENT ICON.  Follow the prompts to electronically register your child. You will need to upload a copy of your child’s birth certificate, social security card,  your proof of residency, and custodial court documents (if applicable) during the registration process.

MIDDLE SCHOOL: Pick up and Returns for 2020

Here is the list of school-issued items that students need to return to the middle school during this week's scheduled Dropp Off and Pick Up.

Thursday, May 28th
4th Grade - 9:00 - 11:00 AM
5th Grade - 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM
6th Grade - 1:00 - 3:00 PM

Friday, May 29th
7th Grade - 9:00 - 11:00 AM
8th Grade - 11:00 - 1:00 PM

ELEMENTARY: Pick Up and Drop Off Plan

Pickup and dropoff of student materials will take place next Friday, May 29th for Edison Elementary students. In order to make this process safe and efficient we are going to need everyone’s help in making sure procedures are followed.  During your assigned time you will enter the pickup and dropoff zone by turning right off of Center St. onto Broad Street.  From Broad St. you will enter the pickup and dropoff zone and be greeted by a school employee. You will give each child’s first name, last name, and grade level and the belongings will be brought out to you. I know many of you came to our pickup and dropoff on May 8th, but at this time we have additional materials such as Yearbooks, Grade Cards, and CertainRead Awards to send home.  The teaching staff will be assisting with this pickup and dropoff and they can't wait to see the students!!  During this time you will not exit your car.  All school employees will be wearing masks and gloves to ensure everyone’s safety.  If you have items that need returned to school such as library books, Chromebooks, or other classroom related items please have them labeled so we know who those items get returned to.  All borrowed Chromebooks need to be returned during this time.  

Pickup and Drop off times will be as follows based on your last name:
Last names beginning with letters A-M will be from 8:00-9:30 AM
Last names beginning with letters N-Z will be from 9:30 -11:00 AM

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and look forward to seeing you next Friday during your assigned time.

HIGH SCHOOL (Seniors) Textbook and School Material Returns

On Tuesday from noon to 4:00 seniors should return all school issued textbooks, calculators, library books, sports equipment, and any other item that is school property.  You need to return all items on the list or you will not receive your diploma Wednesday at the drive-in

On Wednesday we will celebrate the class of 2020 at the Norwalk Starview Drive-in theater.  Seniors will receive their diplomas,  certificates, awards, graduate photo and other gifts.  The start time was moved to 9:00.  The gatesw ill open at 8:00.  The is one vehicle per graduate permitted unless family dynamics require one additional vehicle.  Participants must remain in their vehicles for the entire event.  The celebration will be held rain or shine. We hope to see you all there.  Please enjoy a safe and relaxing Memorial Day weekend.

HIGH SCHOOL (Grades 9-11) Textbook and School Material Returns

It is time to begin planning the return of all school issued textbooks, CCP texts, calculators, library books, music instruments, sports equipment and any other item that is school property.  We will be doing a curbside drop off in front of the building over three days with staggered times.  You may come at whatever day and time that is convenient for you.
The curbside drop-offs will be:

Thursday, May 28    8:00am - 12:00 pm
Friday, May 29          10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Monday, June 1        12:00pm - 4:00 pm

If you will be returning to the high school next year you do not need to return your Chromebooks and chargers.  You will keep them over the summer.  Students who will be attending EHOVE or transferring should return your Chromebooks

Just like any other year, students who do not return school issued textbooks and/or materials will be placed on the bill list at the replacement cost.

The State of Ohio, the Governor, the Ohio Department of Education, and other state-level defendants to a class action lawsuit have reached a proposed settlement and have requested our District's assistance in informing students and parents of the proposed settlement. A link to the settlement is below. To be clear, our District is not a defendant in this lawsuit and is not accused of any wrongdoing in this lawsuit. We are sharing this information as a courtesy to the Ohio Department of Education and our community.
