On Friday, December 21, 2018, Edison Middle School principal, Mr. Cory Smith; guidance counselor, Mrs. Marlene Putnam; and curriculum director, Mr. Dean Stanfield, with the help of the middle school staff organized Career Day for students in grades 6-8. Our keynote speaker, Sheriff Paul Sigsworth, spoke to staff and students about everyone’s responsibility to himself or herself and to his or her community. Twenty-one guest speakers in various occupations from the area spoke to students in classrooms about their duties and responsibilities that they were expected to perform. These speakers performed live demonstrations, videos, and slideshows to show their audiences. At the close of program, the speakers and staff were treated to lunch provided by the Edison Middle School Parents Club.
