Today is Friday, September 25, 2026 and we are on a 2-hour delay schedule.  

The lunch menu for today is Domino’s Pizza, or Daily Grab & Go, Fresh salad with dressing, mini rice krispie , fruit choice and milk.

Next Friday, October 2 is Picture Day.  All students and staff members will get their picture taken for the yearbook.  
Student should have received a yearbook envelope with all of the information for ordering pictures in their homerooms.    

Attention any 6th, 7th, or 8th grade student that has not signed up for robotics, today is the last day.  

The 7th & 8th grade cheerleaders are sponsoring a “Spirit Week” starting on Monday, September 28 and running through Friday, October 2  
Monday’s spirit day is Hawaiian Christmas.  
Wear your Hawaiian printed shirts with your shorts and sandals, or a grass skirt, with a flowered lei and flowers in your hair.

The 7th grade football team lost to Bellevue 27-0. Levi wells had many tackles on defense and Lincoln Schaeffer hooked up with Levi on a long pass in the 4th quarter. Parker Smith, Colton Petznick and Deegan Roeder ran hard for the Chargers.  

The 8th Grade football team defeated Bellevue 34-0 last night! Grant Schnittker and Cooper Schaeffer each scored rushing touchdowns, while Austin Quillen caught a touchdown pass from Dom Shelley. The offensive line of Mitch Asham, Caleb Church, Kellen Ruck, Myles Nickle, and Hank Shelton did a great job up front, paving the way for the offensive scores.Austin and Blake McKinnon each added 2-point conversions.

The girls cross country team tied for 1st place last weekend at the Lakota Invitational, but unfortunately lost on the tie breaker to finish runner up at the race.  Earning medals were Jillian Chase in 4th, Parker Towns in 5th, and Jessie Rockwell in 15th. These 3 girls all ran personal best times along with Francesca Johnson and Scarlett Tieche.On the boys side, Tristan Rogers, Sam Ruggles and Parker Carmack all ran personal best times and Liam Jones led the boys team with a 27th place finish.

The trivia answer is that Dolly Parton owns an amusement park in Tennessee named Dollywood that opened in 1986.
