Today is Monday, September 28, 2026 and it’s Hawaiian Christmas Day!

The lunch menu for today is beef nachos, or Daily Grab & Go, refried beans, fruit choice and milk.

The weather report for today is plenty of sunshine with a high around 70.

Friday, October 2 is Picture Day.  All students and staff members will get their picture taken for the yearbook.  Students should have received a yearbook envelope with all of the information for ordering pictures in their homerooms.    

The 7th & 8th grade cheerleaders are sponsoring a “Spirit Week”. Tuesday’s Spirit Day is Students vs Staff.This is the day where the students dress like any staff member and the staff dresses like the students.

Power of the Pen is a creative writing club that features students participating in writing tournaments at the district, regional, and state level.
Each grade-level team consists of 8 students. Tryouts for 7th and 8th grade students will be held from October 5th through October 6th. Each student trying out must sign up for two writing times. For each writing session, the student will be given a prompt and 40 minutes to write a short story.  Sign up sheets for the try outs will be posted outside of Ms. Kun's room for 7th grade and Mrs. Schoenherr's room for 8th grade. Students can try out during their W.I.N. period or after school. See Mrs. Schoenherr with any questions.

The middle school cross country teams ran some great races this weekend at Norwalk and brought home both a trophy and some medals.
The girls were led by Parker Towns who finished 4th overall earning a medal, followed by Jillian Chase in 7th place where she also earned a medal.  
Jessie Rockwell ran a personal best to finish in 8th place and also bring home a medal.
Also running personal best times were Cora Daniel and Scarlette Tieche.  
The girls tied with Willard but won on the tie breaker to bring home the champion trophy.

For the boys cross country team, Liam Jones ran a season's best to finish 8th overall and also bring home a medal.
Running personal best times were Tristan Rogers, Sam Ruggles, Parker Carmack, and Bridger Hogue.
Hiram Schoenherr ran a season's best time and the boys team came in 4th overall.
The teams both run close to home again next week at Western Reserve where they hope to continue their winning ways!
