Varsity Boys Basketball vs. Willard/Western Reserve
The boys varsity basketball team lost two tough games this past weekend against Willard and Western. The boys were led in scoring Friday by Carson Ehrhardt and Dylan O'Dell, who scored 12 and 11 points respectively. The boys were led in scoring Saturday night by Larry Kessler, who scored 21 points. The boys are back in action this Friday when we host Oak Harbor for Senior Night.
Varsity Boys Basketball vs. Port Clinton/South Central
The boys varsity basketball split this weekend with a win at Port Clinton on Friday and a loss Saturday against South Central. The boys were led Friday by Carson Ehrhardt and Larry Kessler, who each scored 16 points, and Lincoln Meredith who scored 11. The boys were led Saturday by Patrick Amburgy's 18 points, and Larry Kessler who scored 17. The boys are back in action tomorrow night when we host SBC rival Huron.
Varsity Boys Basketball vs. Firelands
The boys varsity basketball team lost this past Saturday to Firelands. The boys were led in scoring by Larry Kessler who had 15 points, and Carson Ehrhardt who chipped in 9 points. The boys return to action this Friday, when they travel to Port Clinton.
Varsity Boys Basketball vs. Tiffin Calvert
The boys varsity basketball team lost on the road last night to Tiffin Calvert. The boys were led in scoring by Larry Kessler, who scored 17 points and Lincoln Meredith who contributed 8 points. The boys return to action tomorrow night when we host Bellevue. Please come out and support the #AnneStrong spaghetti dinner, and our Chargers tomorrow night!
Varsity/Freshmen Boys Basketball vs. Vermilion
The boys varsity basketball team lost a tough game at Vermilion over the weekend. The boys were paced by Larry Kessler and Carson Ehrhardt, who scored 14 and 12 points. The boys return to action tomorrow night at Tiffin Calvert and Friday night at home v. Bellevue.
Friday night the boys basketball teams traveled to Vermilion to take on the Sailors. The freshman boys played a well hard fought game but came up short in a heart breaker as they lost 31-30. Noah Smith and Clay Byington each led the Chargers with 8 points each while Brady Barker and Gabe Rang added 6 points each. The Chargers play tomorrow night on the road at Tiffin Calvert. Game starts at 4:30.
Freshmen Boys Basketball vs. Margaretta
Freshman Boys Basketball hosted Margaretta on Tuesday. The Chargers jumped out to a 15-2 lead in the first couple quarters and managed to hold on with a 37-28 victory after being beat by 30 earlier in the year. Clay Byington lead all scores with 14 points, Jacob Robinson chipped in 7, and Brady Barker added 6. The team shot 10 for 11 from the free throw line. The Chargers face Vermilion tonight at Vermilion.
Varsity Boys Basketball vs. Margaretta
The boys varsity basketball team lost a tough game to conference rivals Margaretta Tuesday. The boys had a balanced scoring attack led by Larry Kessler, Carson Ehrhardt, and Lincoln Meredith. The boys will be back in action this Friday at Vermilion.
Varsity Boys Basketball vs. Port Clinton/Willard
The boys varsity basketball team defeated Port Clinton last Thursday 73-57. Leading the team in scoring was Larry Kessler, who scored 17, Carson Ehrhardt had 15, Patrick Amburgy had 12, Caleb Bissell had 11, and Dylan O'Dell scored 10 points. The boys lost in action at Willard this past Saturday, and were led again by Larry Kessler, who scored 18 points and Carson Ehrhardt who scored 13 points. The boys return to action this Friday at Oak Harbor.
Freshmen Boys Basketball vs. Port Clinton
Last night the freshman boys basketball team hosted the Port Clinton Redskins in a conference matchup. The freshman played a solid game and manufactured a 41-25 victory. Keegan Smith lead the Chargers with 8 points, Clay Byington added 7, Garrett McQuillen tallied 6, Brady Barker, Noah Smith, and Gabe Rang added 4. The boys are back in action tomorrow at Willard!
Varsity Boys Basketball vs. Vermilion/St. Mary's
The boys varsity basketball team lost two hard fought games over the weekend against Vermilion and a well-coached St. Mary's team. The boys were led in scoring by Larry Kessler, who had 13 in both games. Caleb Bissell scored 6 Friday, Patrick Amburgy had 7 Saturday, and Andrew Neate scored 5 Saturday. The boys will be back in action this Saturday v. Norwalk St. Paul.
JV Boys Basketball vs. Vermilion/St. Mary's
The JV boys basketball team lost to Vermilion Friday 49-38. Luke Bissell lead Edison in scoring with 13 points while Andrew Neate scored 8. Saturday the JV team lost to St Mary's 43-32, Lincoln Meredith was the high scorer for the Chargers with 7. The boys are back in action Saturday against St Paul.
Freshmen Boys Basketball vs. Vermilion/St. Mary's
On Friday night the freshman basketball team took on Vermilion at home. After a hard fought first half battle the Chargers were down one at the break. A scoreless 3rd quarter made the difference in the Chargers being defeated 36-24. Clay Byington led the Chargers with 9 points. On Saturday night the boys hosted St. Mary's in a non-conference matchup. The Chargers physicality was the difference maker as they dominated inside the paint and won 35-19. Keegan Smith lead all scores with 10 points while Clay Byington added 8 and Brady Barker and Noah Smith had 6 each. The freshman play at home on Wednesday night against Western Reserve starting at 5:30
JV Boys Basketball vs. Margaretta
The boys JV basketball team lost a hard fought battle to Margaretta Friday night by a score of 39-32. Andrew Neate led the Chargers in scoring with 13 points while Conrad Kluding tossed in 8 tallies. The boys are back in action Friday at home against Vermilion.
JV Boys Basketball vs. Perkins
The boys JV basketball team took the Perkins Pirates into overtime on Tuesday night but came up short by a score of 37-34. Grant Ott was the game high scorer with 12 points while Lincoln Meredith tossed in 7 points. Luke Bissell contributed with 6 points while Andrew Neate pitched in with 5. The boys next game is Friday at Margaretta.
Varsity Boys Basketball vs. Perkins
The boys varsity basketball team lost a tough game to Perkins last night 44 to 31. The boys were led in scoring by Larry Kessler, who had 10 points, and Seth Thompson, who had 8 points. Carson Ehrhardt and Patrick Amburgy added 7 and 6 points. The boys will play again this Friday night at Margaretta.
JV Boys Basketball vs. New London
The Boys JV basketball team won their season opener by defeating New London 42-40. Luke Bissell led Edison in scoring with 13 points, Grant Ott scored 9 while Andrew Neate tossed in 8 points and Conrad Kluding contributed with 6 points. The boys next game is at home against Perkins on Tuesday.
