Cross Country at SBC

The boys and girls Cross Country teams finished runner-up at the SBC Championships on Saturday in Tiffin, with the boys missing out on first place by 1 point.  Grace Anderson and Kellen McDonnell each earned first-team honors, Zoey Corfman, Jackson Michaelis & Everett Gfell second-team honors, and Maylie Weilnau, Aili Corfman, Ava Gardner, Logan Facemire, and Jacoby Valimont each earned Honorable Mention All-Conference.  The District Meet is this Saturday in Galion with the Girls running at 10:45 and boys at 11:30.

Cross Country Dual with Norwalk

The Charger Cross Country teams defended the home course on Saturday against Norwalk. Zoey Corfman led the Girls team to a close 27-29 point victory. Maylie Weilnau, Lily Risner, Juliana Johnson, Ava Gardner, and Aili Corfman all finished in the top ten. On the Boy's side, Kellen McDonnell, Jackson Michaelis, and Everett Gfell took the top three spots to lead the Chargers to a 19-36 point win. Quinton Cox and Caleb Jeremy rounded out the scoring finishing in 6th and 7th place. The postseason begins this week as both teams will be racing for an SBC Championship on Saturday morning in Tiffin!

Cross Country at Cloverleaf Invite

On Saturday, the Charger Cross Country teams ran against many D1 schools at the Todd Clark Cloverleaf Invitational. Grace Anderson and Kellen McDonnell led the teams to 13th-place finishes. Gaius Hotchkiss and Noah Schoenherr each ran their personal best times. Both teams will be off this weekend before returning on the home course Saturday, October 5th against Norwalk.

Cross Country at Galion Invite

The Cross Country teams competed at the Galion Cross Country Festival on Saturday.  The boys' team finished 6th and the girls' team finished 7th. Kellen McDonnell, Jacoby Valimont, and Grace Anderson came home with top-performer t-shirts. Both teams will be back in action this Saturday at the Cloverleaf Invite.

Cross Country at Seneca East Night Meet

The Charger Cross Country teams ran under the Lights against many state-ranked teams Saturday night at the Seneca East Stars, Stripes, and Lights Invitational with both teams running awesome and bringing home third-place trophies. Jackson Michaelis, Jacoby Valimont, Everett Gfell, and Grace Anderson all finished in the top 25 to bring home medals. Everett, Jacoby, Caleb Jeremy, Gaius Hotchkiss, Colin Butler, Noah Schoenherr, Gannon Mesenburg, Lily Risner, Zoey Corfman, Juliana Johnson, Autumn Krieg-Moore, Rory Conrad and Aria Hayward all ran their personal record times. The teams will keep the momentum going this Saturday at the Galion Invite.

Cross Country at Seneca East Tiger Classic

The Charger Cross Country teams brought home a lot of hardware at the Seneca East Tiger Classic on Saturday. Grace Anderson, Lily Risner, Zoey Corfman and Juliana Johnson all earned individual awards leading the team to a 3rd place trophy. On the guys side, Jackson Michaelis, Everett Gfell, Jacoby Valimont and Quinton Cox earned individual awards as the boys came home with the runner up trophy. Jacoby, Quinton, Caleb Jeremy, Gaius Hotchkiss and Noah Schoenherr all ran their personal best times. Both teams will be back at Seneca East running under the Lights on September 7th.
