The Varsity football team kicked off the season with a tremendous victory on the road against the Firelands Falcons by a final score of 28 - 7.  The offense rushed for 257 yards behind a new look offensive line as they consistently created holes for the running backs to get through.  The offense was led by Marcus Medina who ran for 101 yards and 2 touchdowns and threw for 113 yards and 1 score. Sophomores Luke Blatnik and Davin Wendt also scored touchdowns.  After allowing a score on the opening drive of the game, the defense shut the Falcons out for the remaining 3 quarters.  The defense created 3 turnovers, including 2 interceptions by Cy Finnen, and showed great toughness as they battled against a much larger offensive line.  The team travels to Elmwood this Friday to take on the Royals.
