JV Girls Tennis - SBC Tournament
Last night the JV tennis team competed in the All SBC JV Tournament at Norwalk. We started the tournament with Rowen Smith, but she had a tough loss to a strong first round opponent. Then came the Jaunting Juniors of Lilly Kreglow and Madison Kuhl playing first doubles. The pair won the first two rounds against Perkins and Port Clinton, but then lost to Norwalk to place 3rd. Competing at second doubles was the team of Jenna Keoghan and Aviera Hamilton. These ladies came out strong with a good win versus Port Clinton, but then lost in the second round to the runner-up team from Bellevue. Lastly, we had our strongest competitors of the night at third doubles being Isabella Wilson and Chloe Dials. The pair won their first three matches against Saint Mary's, Clyde, and Willard, but then lost to Huron in the championship on the very last point possible for the match. Way to go ladies and congrats on a great season!

Varsity Girls Tennis - Sectional Tournament
The girls varsity tennis team participated in the Sectional Tournament last Thursday. Congratulations to all of the members of the team for a great day of tennis! A special congratulation goes out to Alli Vogus for advancing onto Saturdays championship rounds and for claiming the Championship in two sets! This makes Alli the first ever Sectional champ in singles at EHS! Congratulations Alli and best of luck this Thursday at Districts!!

Varsity/JV Girls Tennis vs. Vermilion
The girls tennis team beat Vermillion on Tuesday 5-0 to end the regular season. Winning at singles were Alli Vogus, Brynleigh Dail and Delaney Lococo. Winning at doubles were the teams of Ivy Kluding/Lizzie Campbell and Sara Gates/Keira Keoghan. The team ended the season with a 7-12 record overall. A special congratulations goes out to Alli Vogus who completed the season undefeated and was the top performer in the conference! Way to go ladies on a great regular season! Best of luck to the team as they will begin the Sectional Tournament tomorrow in Shelby!

Varsity/JV Girls Tennis vs. Huron
The girls tennis team beat Huron on Thursday 4-1. Winning for the team were Alli Vogus and Ivy Kluding at singles and the doubles teams of Delaney Lococo/Sara Gates and Lily Kreglow/Maddi Kuhl. It was a great win on a night that we honored our Seniors Alli Vogus and Delaney Lococo. Way to go ladies on a great night!!
Last night the JV tennis team continued their dominant streak against Huron and got wins from everyone again! Aviera Hamilton and Rowen Smith struck first, but Isabella Wilson with Chloe Dials finished their match shortly after. Let's finish the season strong next week!

Last night the JV tennis team traveled to PC to have everyone win! The doubles team of Aviera Hamilton and Chloe Dials won twice, while Isabella Wilson got a pretty strong win at singles. Keep it up, ladies!

Congratulations to Ivy Kluding who finished 3rd at 3 singles and earned Honorable Mention All Conference and Alli Vogus who won the championship at 1st singles and was named top performer in the conference for the 2022 girls season! The girls tennis team beat St. Mary’s in a double header on Monday 3-2 in both matches. Getting wins in the first match were Alli Vogus and the doubles teams of Ivy Kluding/Lizzie Campbell and Keira Keoghan/Sara Gates. In the second match wins came from Alli Vogus and Ivy Kluding at singles and the doubles team again of Keira Keoghan/Sara Gates. Great job ladies and keep working hard!! The team travels to Willard later today!

The varsity girls tennis team lost a close one to Port Clinton 1-4. 3 of the 5 matches went to a third set and just fell short of the victory! Winning at first singles was Alli Vogus.
Last night the JV tennis team played host to Port Clinton and had a pretty dominant night. Winning for the Chargers were doubles teams of Lilly Kreglow with Jenna Keoghan and Madison Kuhl with Chloe Dials. In singles action we had a win from Aviera Hamilton. Way to go, ladies!"

JV Girls Tennis - Port Clinton JV Tournament
Last night the Charger tennis team competed in the JV tournament at Port Clinton. The first doubles team of Kiera Keoghan and Delaney Lococo won their first match against Oak Harbor 8-3, but lost the next round against PC in a heartbreaker tiebreaker 7-8(3). The second doubles team of Brynleigh Dail and Rowen Smith won their first two matches against Clyde and Bellevue each with a score of 8-2 before losing in the semifinals 4-8 against Norwalk, giving them 3rd place overall. Great ending to a great season, ladies!

Last night the girls tennis team was recognized for their accomplishments during the 2020 season. Congratulations to Natalie Costello for earning most improved, Jayla Medina for the Team Choice award and Emma Horchler for earning the Coaches Award. Also a special congratulations goes out to Jayla Medina for establishing a new record with career wins with 85. The team finished the season 13-5 overall. Congrats on a great season ladies!!

Last night our JV girls tennis team competed in the SBC JV tournament. The entire team played well, but we had a few players win some matches and earn our team some points! Noelle Marcy won her first match at second singles vs. Perkins before dropping a tough match against Norwalk, Rianna Dingle won her first match at third singles vs. Huron before losing a tough match against Perkins, and our first doubles team of Kya Gibbs and Tessa Otto won one match against a Clyde team, but lost the next to a tougher Clyde team. Great season, ladies!

The girls tennis team is off to a 3-2 start on the season. The team beat Bellevue 4-1, Upper Sandusky 4-1 and St. Joe 5-0. The two losses on the season came from Norwalk 1-4 and Willard 2-3. The team travels to Perkins on Saturday to participate in the doubles invite.

Winning championships were Mariah Medina at first singles earning Mariah first team all conference plus outstanding performer of the tournament and Jayla Medina at second singles also earning first team. Emily Vogus finished 2nd at third singles and earned second team all conference. The doubles team of Kaylee Ries/Torri Keyser finished 2nd earning them first team all conference and the number two doubles team of Lexi Weyer/Emily Moore finished third earning them honorable mention in the conference.
