Varsity Girls Soccer vs. Mansfield Christian
The Girls soccer team battled last night against Mansfield Christian last night in the Sectional Final. Though they fought back from a 3-1 deficit to tie it 3-3 with 10 minutes left, they fell in the end 5-3. The girls played maybe their best game of the season and hats off to the Seniors: Morgan Moon, Jillian McDonnell, Izzie Sanabria, Juliana Burnham and goalkeeper, Bree Marcy, who had the game of her career. The Lady Chargers ended the season with a 10-5-1 record, just one-win shy of having the best record in program history. Congratulations ladies!

JV Girls Soccer vs. Firelands
Girls JV soccer closed their regular season with a 0-0 tie at Oberlin Firelands Thursday night. Keeper Emma Chaput had her best performance of the season. Defender Lydia McQuillen consistently shut down the attacking Falcons and Joy Jordan dominated in the midfield. Congratulations to all the Lady Chargers on a great game and season.

Varsity Girls Soccer vs. Lorain
It was a record breaking night for the Lady Chargers Soccer team with their 7-0 win at Lorain in their final match of the regular season. Abigail Hearing scored 4 goals, followed by Amelia Chartrant with 2, and Ingrid Berckmueller with 1. Sophomore Alaina Keegan broke the school record adding her 16th assist to the books! In the second half a foul in the box threatened the Chargers defense resulting in a penalty kick against the Chargers. Senior keeper Brienna Marcy had the save of the night, securing her seventh shutout and breaking yet another school record. Phenomenal play by all ladies in last night’s game! JV soccer plays Thursday at Oberlin to close their regular season. Tournament play begins next week.

The girls' soccer team beat Clyde last night 5-0. Alaina Keegan tied the school record with her 15th assist with 4 on the night. Brienna Marcy and the defense got their 6th shutout and also tied the school record. Scoring for the Chargers were Amelia Chartrant with 3, Izzie Sanabria with 1 and Abi Hearing with her 15th goal of the season!!

The Lady Chargers Soccer Team played a very good Perkins team to a 0-0 draw last night during Senior Night. The team's 5th shutout came from tough defense led by Seniors: Morgan Moon, Jillian McDonnell and Bree Marcy. Shoutout to Seniors Iszie Sanabria and Julianna Burnham for their good midfield play! Way to go Seniors!!

Varsity Girls Soccer vs. Mapleton
The Girls Soccer Team won a thriller last night at Bolt Field, 5 goals to 4. Tied 4-4 with 30 seconds left, Lainie Keegan played in a spectacular ball to Abbi Hearing for her 3rd game winning goal of the season, and 4th on the night. Izzi Sananbria scored earlier in the match and Haley Chaput had 2 assists. Bree Marcy had her best game of the season with 11 saves. Next up is Perkins at home this Thursday for Senior Night at 5 p.m.

Varsity Girls Soccer vs. Vermilion
The Chargers Girls Soccer Team beat Vermilion in their soccer stadium last night 3-2. First, Amelia Chartrant scored off a set play started by Julie Wilgrube. Then, Abby Hearing scored on a very nice play from Amelia Chartrant and then once again on her own. Standout defensive play was given by freshman Sophie Baker. The team is now 7-2 on the season.

The Girls Soccer Team traveled to Huron last night and came out with a 2-0 shutout win. Scoring the goals were Abby Hearing and Amelia Chartrant, with great assists from Haley Chaput and Abby Hearing. Standout performances were given by Isabella Sanabria and Haley Chaput!

The Girls soccer team improved their record to 5-2 with a win against Brookside with a score of 5-0. Brienna Marcy and the defense recorded their 3rd shutout of the season. Scoring for the Chargers were Amelia Chartrant with a season high 4 goals, and Abby Hearing with 1. Assists came from Alaina Keegan with 3 and Julie Wilgrube with 2.

JV girls soccer goal keepers Emma Chaput and Lydia McQuillen teamed up for a shut out helping the lady chargers secure a 8-0 win over Norwalk. Goals were scored all around the pitch with Joy Jordan, Becca Houser, Rachel Frederick scoring 2 each, and Sophie Baker and Gabrielle Shupe with one goal each. Assists were Joy Jordan and Sophie Baker.

The girls soccer team lost their first game of the season 2-0 against Port Clinton after controlling the match for most of the game. Morgan Moon, Haley Chaput and Alyssa Rice played very well for the Chargers. They play Oak Harbor next Wednesday at Bolt Field.

The girls soccer team continued their winning ways last night at Bolt Field beating Vermilion by a score of 6-2. Leading the stout defensive play was goalkeeper Brienna Marcy, having 15 saves on the night! Goals came from all around once again with 4 players scoring: Amelia Chartrant had a hat trick, while Julie Wilgrube, Abby Hearing and Alaina Keegan all had one. Keagan and Hearing also had a pair of assists each.This is the first 4-0 start in Edison Girls Soccer history! Way to go Chargers!

The Edison Girls Soccer team hosted rivals Huron last night at Bolt Field and put on an offensive show, winning 7-0. Goals came from multiple contributors including Rachel Frederick, Amelia Chartrant, Alaina Keegan, Haley Chaput, Ingrid Berckmueller and Abby Hearing had a pair. The goals were assisted by Julie Willgrube who had an astounding 4 on the night, and Alaina Keegan with 2! The team is back in action at home on Wednesday night vs Vermilion.

The JV girls soccer team played a hard fought game Tuesday night but ultimately fell to Oak Harbor 2-0. Junior keeper Emma Chaput had 5 fantastic saves at goal. Special shout out to freshman Joy Jordan and Junior Haile Seekins for their persistent work ethic in the midfield. Great game ladies!

Varsity Girls Soccer vs. Ashland Crestview
The Edison Girls Soccer team opened their season hosting Ashland Crestview at Bolt Field. After going down a goal early in the second half, the Chargers answered right back to equalize with a goal by Haley Chaput, assisted by Alaina Keegan. The team kept the pressure on, passing around the other team very nicely, until Abby Hearing finally broke through on a great pass by Amelia Chatrant to score the game winner with only 2 minutes to go. Great start to the season, Chargers!

Varsity Girls Soccer vs. Huron (Sectional Champions)
With a great team performance by the Girls Soccer team, they shutout Huron by a score of 1 to 0 to become the D-3 Sectional Champions. This is the first Sectional Championship for the girls soccer team in school history! The Lady Chargers will be back in action on Tuesday against Eastwood. The game will be played at Genoa High School at 5pm.

The Edison Girls Soccer team got a home win over Lorain by the score of 12 to 1. Abigail Hearing got the Lady Chargers on the board first only 5 minutes into the match. Hearing would score two more goals before the night was over getting herself a hat-trick for her efforts. Also with a great performance was senior Megan Coleman who also scored a hat-trick on the night. Rachel Frederick had two goals in the win over the Lady Titans. Alaina Keegan, Morgan Moon, Alyssa Rice, and Haley Chaput all had one goal each during the match. The Lady Chargers are back in action on Thursday with a home match against Perkins at 5pm.

In an away match the Edison Girls Soccer team finished in a 1 to 1 tie with the Clyde Fliers. The lone goal for the Lady Chargers was scored by Abigail Hearing. The Lady Chargers are back in action on Wednesday with a home match against Lorain at 5pm.

The Edison Girls Soccer team got a hard fought road win over Vermilion by a score of 2 to 1. Down 1 to 0 at halftime the Lady Chargers came out fired up and ready to play. Only four minutes into the second half Megan Coleman put the ball in the back of the net to tie the game up 1 to 1. Only five minutes later Julianna Burnham put the go ahead goal in the net to take the lead 2 to 1. Excellent defensive play by Haley Chaput, Alaina Keegan, Isabella Sanabria, Lauren Craig, and Keeper Brienna Marcy sealed up the win for the Lady Chargers. The soccer team will be back in action on Monday with an away match at Clyde at 7pm.

The Edison Girls soccer team got a win over Tiffin Columbian by the score of 4 to 2 as they celebrated their Senior Night. Abigail Hearing led the scoring for the Lady Chargers with two goals on the night and Ruby Knowles and Alyssa Rice each had one goal apiece. The Lady Chargers would like to dedicate this win to their seniors Madison Chaput, Claire Treece, Ruby Knowles, Megan Coleman, and Lauren Craig. The Chargers will be back in action on Saturday with an away match at Vermilion at 12pm.

The Edison Girls soccer team got a big home win on Homecoming weekend over Brookside by a score of 6 to 1. Ruby Knowles got the scoring started early for the Lady Chargers in the first half to tie the game up at 1-1. Amelia Chartrant got the next go ahead score to bring the score to 2 to 1 at halftime. Coming out of halftime the Lady Chargers never looked back as they added four more goals in the second half to extend their lead. That scoring was led by Alaina Keegan with two goals, Abigail Hearing with one goal, and Ruby Knowles adding one more goal to her total of two on the day. The Lady Chargers are back in action on Monday with an away match at Huron at 7pm.

The Edison girls soccer team lost a heart breaker to Vermilion by a score of 5 to 4. After falling behind 4 to 2 early in the match the Lady Chargers fought back to tie it up 4 to 4 before giving up a late goal at the end of the match. The goals for the Chargers were scored by Amelia Chartrant and Morgan Moon with one goal each and Abigail Hearing had two goals on the night. The Lady Chargers will return to action next Wednesday with an away match at Port Clinton.

The Edison Girls soccer team continued their winning ways on Wednesday night with another road win over Sandusky by a score of 3 to 0. Leading the scoring for the Lady Chargers was Abigail Hearing with two goals and the other goal was scored by Amelia Chartrant. Leading another stellar defensive performance was goalie Claire Treece and defensive backs Isabella Sanabria, Jillian McDonnell, Lauren Craig and Haley Chaput. This makes two back to back shutouts for the Chargers. The team will be back in action on Monday with its first home game of the year against Huron at 6:00pm.

The Edison girls soccer team opened their season up with an away match at Mansfield St. Peter on Monday night. The Lady Chargers came away with a 9 to 0 win over the Lady Spartans to get their season started in a positive way. Senior Ruby Knowles lead the scoring with four goals during this match for her best performance ever. Others having success in the goal were Alaina Keegan with two goals and Morgan Moon, Amelia Chartrant, and Megan Coleman all having one goal each. It was overall a great team performance. The Lady Chargers are back in action on Wednesday night with another away match at Sandusky.

Varsity Girls Soccer vs. Sandusky
The Edison Girls Soccer team ended their regular season with a road win over Sandusky with a final score of 4 to 0. Amazingly Abigail Hearing scored all four of the Lady Chargers goals. Two of those goals came from assists from Morgan Moon and Lauren Craig. Another solid defensive effort was put in by Katelyn Chenevey, Livia Lowery, Madison Chaput, Haley Chaput, Brienna Marcy, and Claire Treece. The Chargers will play on Tuesday at a sectional tournament game against Woodmore at 5pm

The Edison girls soccer team took to the pitch for the last home game of the season. They made the best of it by beating Clyde 4 to 0. Senior Captain Aliyah Caporini scored a hat trick on her final time ever playing on Bolt field. In a changing of the guard moment freshmen Abigail Hearing also added a goal to round out the Lady Charger scoring for the night.

The Edison Girls soccer team got a big SBC road win over Tiffin Columbian with a score of 2 to 1. The first goal of the game was scored by senior captain Aliyah Caporini. With only a 1 to 0 lead coming out of halftime the second Charger goal was scored by Ruby Knowles off a corner kick from Abigail Hearing. Solid team defense held off the hard fighting Tornadoes at the end of the match. The Lady Chargers are home Monday for their last home game of the season against Clyde at 5pm.

The Lady Charger’s JV soccer team celebrated their last home game of the season with a win over Sandusky on Tuesday. Lauren Craig opened the scoring by sending a long ball to the back of the net from the defensive line. Gabrielle Shupe and Jill Kromer teamed up to take the Chargers into half time with a 2-1 lead.

The Lady Chargers JV soccer team played an excellent match at Huron on Thursday night. Megan Coleman scored the lone goal for the Chargers in the second half. Lauren Craig, Juliana Burnham, Avery Lowery, and Emily Febbo played stellar defense to hold the Tigers and finish in a 1-1 tie. The girls will be back in action next week for their last home game of the season against Sandusky. Way to go Lady Chargers!

Also part of that solid performance was senior goalie Elizabeth Pruitt. The Lady Chargers are back in action on Thursday at home for Senior night at 5pm.
