Boys Track at SBC

The B0ys track team competed on day 1 of the SBC Bay division meet last night at Huron. The 4x8 team of Chase King, Everett Gfell, Jacoby Valimont, and Jackson Michaelis Placed 2nd, Everett Gfell took 8th in the 2 mile. J Williams took 2nd in discus and 4th in shotput, Corbin Thayer took 5th in shotput and Jack Woodward took 6th. Jace Jeremay took 3rd in pole vault and Karl Kromer took 7th. Rounding out the night was Trayvon Williams the SBC Bay division champ in long jump with a jump of 22' 2.5". Great Job Boys! The team will compete in the finals this Friday at Clyde.

Track at Erie County Meet

The Lady Chargers placed 3rd at the Erie County Track Meet. Zoey Corfman won the 400m dash and was a part of the 2nd place 4x8 (H. Chaput, G. Anderson, M. Weilnau) and 2nd place 4x4 (H. Chaput, G. Anderson, I. Berckmueller). Katie Cumston took advantage of a tiebreaker opportunity and set a new PR, clearing 5' in high jump for the win. Grace Anderson won the mile. Ingrid Berckmueller was 2nd in the 100 and 3rd in the 800. Haley Chaput was 3rd in the 400. Lily Risner was 4th in the mile. The Chargers compete again on Thursday at Bellevue. 

The Boys track team placed 4th in the Erie County Track meet. Trayvon WIlliams placed 1st in the long jump and the 200 both with PRs of 22' 5-1/4" and 21.88 seconds. Trevor Leimeister placed 4th in the 100 and 3rd in the 200. Aiden Reeder won the 400 and was also part of the 3rd place 4x1 relay team of Jose Serna Amaya, Trevor Leimeister, Aiden Reeder, and Trayvon Williams. Logan Facemire placed 5th in the 800 with a new PR and Jackson Michaelis won the mile. Quentin Cox placed 2nd in the 2 mile and Colin Butler placed 5th in the 300 Hurdles. The 4x8 team of Chase King, Everett Gfell, Jacoby Valimont, and Jackson Michaelis placed 2nd while Jace Jeremay and Karl Kromer placed 2nd and 5th in pole vault. J Williams placed 7th in shot and 5th in Discus while Corbin Thayer placed 8th in shot and Jack Woodward placed 6th in Discus. Great job guys! The team will compete Thursday at the Bellevue Invitational.

Track at Margaretta Invite

The Lady Chargers competed at the Margaretta Invite on Friday. Top performances for the Chargers came from Grace Anderson, who placed 2nd in the 3200m run and was on the 3rd place 4x8 team with teammates H. Chaput, Riser, and B. Houser. Zoey Corfman was 4th in the 400 and on the 4th place 4x4 team with teammates Haley Chaput, Weilnau, and Berckmueller. Haley Chaput also placed 4th in the 800 and Cumston was 4th in the high jump. 

The Boys track team placed 8th at the Margaretta Invite Friday night scoring 51 points. Leading the charge were Trayvon Williams placing 1st in the long jump and 2nd in the 100-meter dash.  Jace Jeremay placed 2nd in the pole vault with a new PR of 12' 6". The 4x8 team of Chase King, Jacoby Valimont, Everett Gfell, and Jackson Michaelis placed 4th, and Colin Butler placed 6th in the 110 hurdles. Jackson Michaelis placed 4th in the 800, Quentin Cox placed 6th in the 2 mile and the 4x4 team of Everett Gfell, Chase King, Jacoby Valimont, and Jackson Michaelis placed 8th. J Williams placed 6th in shotput and 5th in discus as well as Jack Woodward placing 8th in discus. Great Job guys! The team will compete tonight in the Erie County Invitational at Perkins.

Track at Huron Invite

The Lady Chargers track team scored 82 points at the Huron Invite, finishing in 5th place.  Katie Cumston earned the top spot on the podium for the Chargers in the high jump. Grace Anderson placed 3rd in the 800 and 4th in the mile. Lydia McQuillen placed 3rd in the discus and 4th in shot put, Maylie Weilnau was 4th in the 800, Zoey Corfman was 4th in the 400, Kendal Kryger and Jade Ziegelhofer tied for 4th in pole vault. The Chargers put together strong relay performances in the 4x8 (Chaput, Corfman, Anderson, and Weilnau) and 4x4 (Corfman, Chaput, Weilnau, and Berckmueller)  finishing 2nd. 
 
The boy's track team placed 3rd out of 10 teams at the Huron Invite on Saturday scoring 93 points. Leading the way was Trayvon Williams placing 2nd in Long Jump and the 100 and 3rd in the 200 meter dash. The 4x8 team of Chase King, Kellen McDonnell, Everett Gfell, and Jackson Michaelis placed 2nd and the team of Jacoby Valimont, Quentin Cox, Logan Facemire, and Kyle Kardotzke placed 6th. Colin Butler placed 8th in both hurdle races and Trevor Leimeister placed 7th in the 100 and 4th in the 200-meter dash. Jacoby Valimont placed 4th in the mile and Chase King placed 8th. Aiden Reeder won the 400-meter dash and Jackson Michaelis placed 3rd in the 800 with Kellen Mcdonnell placing 5th. Quentin Cox and Everett Gfell placed 5th and 7th in the 3200-meter run respectively. Jace Jeremay placed 3rd in pole vault and Karl Kromer placed 6th, while J Williams took 4th in discus and 5th in shot put. Rounding up the day the 4x400 team of Trevor Leimeister, Chase King, Jacoby Valimont, and Jackson Michaelis took 4th. Great Job Chargers! The team will take on Vermillion at Vermillion tomorrow starting at 4:30.

Track Dual vs. Port Clinton

The Boys track team defeated Port Clinton 91-46 in a dual meet yesterday at home. Placing 1st in their event were the 4x8 team of Chase King, Jackson Michaelis, Kyle Kardotzke, and Trey Hines. Colin Butler in the 110 hurdles and 300 hurdles. Trayvon Williams in the 100, 200, and long jump as well as the 4x100 team of Trevor Leimeister, Shawn Rowe, Jose Serna Amaya, and Trayvon Williams. Also placing first was the 4x200 team of Josiah Bryant, Trevor Leimeister, Shawn Rowe, and Aiden Reeder. Aiden also placed 1st in the 400-meter dash. Kellen McDonnell won the mile and Chase King won the open 800. The 4x400 team of Jose Serna Amaya, Chase King, Quentin Cox, and Shawn Rowe placed first, and finishing out the meet Jace Jeremay won the pole vault. Great job guys! The team will compete this Saturday at the Huron Invite!

The Lady Chargers competed in their final home meet of the season last night vs Port Clinton. Junior, Zoey Corfman won the 800m run with a time of 2:35-a PR! Katie Cumston won the high jump. The girls 4x8 of H. Chput, L. Risner, B. Houser, and M. Weilnau also took 1st place. Other great performances came from Grace Anderson who took 2nd in the mile and 2-mile, Kendal Kryger placed 2nd in the 200m dash and 3rd in the pole vault, Jadelyn Ziegelhofer took 2nd in the pole vault, and Maylie Weilnau finished 2nd in the 400m.
The Lady Chargers compete again this Saturday at the Huron Invitational.

Track at Edison Invite

The Boys team had a great day Saturday placing 3rd at the Edison Invite. Leading the way was Trayvon Williams who placed 1st in the long jump, the 100, and the 200 as well as 5th in the 4x1 of Trevor Leimeister, Shawn Rowe, Jose Serna Amaya, and Trayvon Williams. The 4x8 of Jackson Michaelis, Chase King, Jacoby Valimont, and Everett Gfell placed 2nd. Jackson And Jacoby finished 3rd and 8th in the mile and Colin Butler added points getting 5th in the high hurdles and 7th in the 300 meter hurdles. Aiden Reeder placed 3rd in the 400 as well as 5th on the 4x400 team of Aiden Reeder, Chase King, Jacoby Valimont, and Jackson Michaelis. Chase King also added points getting 4th in the 800. Quentin Cox and Everett Gfell finished 6th and 7th in the 3200-meter run. Jace Jeremay finished 3rd in pole vault and J Williams placed 2nd in shotput and 3rd in discus. Great job boys!  

The Lady Chargers finished 6th at the Edison Invite. Leading the way for the team was freshman Kendal Kryger who took 3rd in pole vault, 5th in the 100m dash, and was a member of the 4x100 along with M. Stover, Z. Corfman, and I. Becrkmueller, which placed 3rd.
The 4x8 team of H. Chaput, Z. Corfman, G. Anderson, and M. Weilnau placed 2nd, running a season-best time of 10:25. Ingrid Berckmueller finished 3rd in the 400m dash. Grace Anderson was 3rd in the mile. Jadelyn Ziegelhofer finished 5th in the pole vault. Natalie Desautels finished 6th in the 100m hurdles and 8th in the 300m hurdles. Katie Cumston took 6th in the high jump. Lydia McQuillen and Sophie Baker both scored points in discus, placing 6th and 8th. 

Both track teams will compete again at home on Tuesday, April 16th against Port Clinton.

Track Dual vs. Huron

The Boys track team beat Huron in a dual meet 75-64 last night. Winning in their events are Treyvon Williams in the 100m dash and Long Jump, Aiden Reeder in the 400m, Jackson Michaelis in the 800m, Kellen McDonnell in the mile, Everett Gfell in the 2 mile, J Williams in shot put and discus. The 4x4 of Jacoby Valimont Jackson Michaelis Chase King and Aiden Reeder and The 4x8 of Jackson Michaelis Kellen McDonnell Jacoby Valimont and Chase King also won their events.  Great job guys!


The Lady Chargers had their first track meet of the season last night at Huron. Taking first place for the team were Jadelyn Ziegelhofer in the pole vault, Katie Cumston in the high jump, Lydia McQuillen in the shot put, Sophie Baker in the discus, and the girls 4x2 of Kryger, Chaput, Corfman, and Berckmueller. The ladies will compete again this Saturday at Monroeville.
