Varsity Softball vs. Fremont Ross
The softball team defeated Fremont Ross 10-5 on Friday in their final game of the year. Delaney Lococo and Peyton Taylor both had 2 hits. Stella Brown hit an inside the park home run and Sophia Guerra got the win in the circle.

The Lady Charger softball team racked up 18 hits in a 10-5 win over Port Clinton last night. Kalli Quillen led the way going 4-5. Audrey Linder, Peyton Taylor, Ivy Kluding, and Stella Brown all had multiple hits. Sophia Guerra went the distance in the circle to earn the win.

The Lady Chargers softball team got the win last night 8-3 over the Wellington Dukes. Sophia Guerra was strong in the circle and at the plate recording 9 K's while going 3-3 with 3 RBI's. Ivy Kluding added 2 hits and Kalli Quillen and Peyton Taylor each had an RBI.

Varsity/JV Softball vs. Port Clinton
The Lady Chargers defeated Port Clinton 12-6. Ivy Kluding was 3-4 with 2 RBI and Kalli Quillen was 2-3 with an RBI and 3 runs scored. Sophia Guerra earned the win striking out 4.
The JV team also had a good night winning 14-3. Joy Jordan was 3-3 and Navea Yamanouchi hit an inside the park homerun. Adison Wechter pitched 3 innings striking out 4.

Varsity Softball vs. Perkins
The Lady Chargers softball team tallied 20 hits against Perkins beating the Pirates 19-7. Audrey Linder, Kira Appeman, Reagan King, Kalli Quillen and Elena McCord all managed multiple hits for the visiting Chargers. Kira Appeman led off the game with a first pitch home run while Kalli Quillen hit a grand slam and had a remarkable diving catch in center field. Audrey LInder, Isabella Wilson and Appeman all added doubles as well. The girls take on Colonel Crawford in the district semifinals Wednesday in New Riegel.

The varsity softball team won on senior night against Huron by a score of 9-5. Audrey Linder broke the 5-5 tie in the 6th with an RBI single. Reagan King cleared the bases with a stand up double. Kira Appeman pitched a complete game to earn the win in the circle.

Varsity Softball vs. Tiffin Columbian/Port Clinton
Over the weekend, the varsity softball team beat Columbian 20-5 and 8-2. Kira Appeman hit for the cycle in the first game, and collecting home runs were Appeman, Olivia Vitaz, and Reagan King. On Monday, the Lady Chargers beat Port Clinton 10-1 and 15-3. Kira Appeman hit 2 triples in the first game, and the team had 14 hits the second game. Having 2 hits apiece were Appeman, Audrey Linder, Olivia Vitaz, Reagan King, Kalli Quillen, and Sophia Guerra.

Varsity softball swept a doubleheader last night vs Willard beating the Flashes 18-2 and 11-0. In the first game Kira Appeman got the win on the mound and went 4-5 at the plate including a double and HR with 4 RBI’s Also having multiple hits was Olivia Vitaz, Audrey Linder and Elena McCord. Vitaz and McCord both clocked doubles with McCord knocking in 5 runs. In the nightcap, Sophia Guerra threw a 2 hit shutout. She also provided a 2 -3 day at the plate. Olivia Vitaz hit another double while Audrey Linder and Reagan King both had multiple hits. King hit a walk off 3 run blast to end the second game.

The Lady Chargers Split a Double Header over the weekend. Losing to D1, State ranked Springfield 14-0 and beating Bellevue 17-7. Against Bellevue the girls tallied 18 hits with Reagan King, Sophia Guerra and Kalli Quillen each having 3 hits a piece! Kira Appeman, Olivia Vitaz and Ivy Kluding each added multiple hits. Elena McCord hit a go ahead Grand Slam and Reagan King hit a 2 run blast to power the Chargers.

Edison Charger Softball opened up its season by besting Seneca East Tigers by a score of 13-0. Appeman was the winning pitcher for Edison. The righthander went five innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out ten and walking one. Edison tallied three home runs on the day. Reagan King had a dinger in the third inning. Olivia Vitaz went deep in the fourth and fifth innings. Edison had 16 hits in the game. Appeman, Linder, King, Vitaz, and Sophia Guerra all collected multiple hits while Ivy Kluding and Elena McCord each chipped in a hit. Appeman led the charge with four hits in four at bats. The Ladies take on New London Friday.

Varsity Softball vs. Huron (District Championship!!!)
Edison Varsity Softball team run rules the Huron Tigers 10-0 (the number 1 seed) to win the District Championship!!! Kira Appeman led the Chargers to victory on the rubber. The right hander lasted five innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out two and walking zero. This is her second shutout in the District tournament! The Edison Ladies had ten hits in the game. Olivia Vitaz and Kira Appeman each collected multiple hits. Vitaz went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the team in hits. Others having hits were Kayla Mancuso, Kalli Quillen, Reagan King and Audrey Linder. Our girls smacked three home runs on the day. Olivia Vitaz hit two dingers. One in the second and the other in the fifth inning. Mallory Perkins also went yard in the fourth inning. The Lady Chargers move on to Regionals and face #1 state ranked Cardington Lincoln tonight at 5. Go Chargers.

The Lady Chargers softball team captured a Sectional Title on Friday by beating the Carey Blue Devils 13-6. The girls mustered 15 hits with multiple players having a multi hit game. Kira Appeman and Mallory Perkins each roped triples while Danielle Blatnik and Audrey Linder slapped doubles! The softball team will compete against #3 seed Colonel Crawford in the District semi finals Wednesday in New Riegel at 6pm. Go Chargers!!

The JV Lady Chargers softball team ended their season with a nail biter winning against the Huron Tigers. Sophia Guerra led from the mound. Taryn Hahn assisted in all three outs in the 2nd inning. Izzy Sanabria led with three hits. Liv Wilson, Elena McCord, Guerra, assisted with two hits apiece.

With Mancuso hitting another triple to add to her school record of 9. Mallory Perkins tied the game with a bases loaded 2 rbi base hit in the 8th. Deana Blatnik squeezed in the winning run in walk off fashion. Kira Appeman gets the win striking out 10 and waking 0 allowing 2 earned runs on 8 scattered hits. Edison Chargers Varsity Softball Team lost 10-5 to Bellevue despite tallying 12 hits. Danielle Blatnik, Kalli Quillen, Mancuso, Reagan King, and Kira Appeman each managed multiple hits for Edison Chargers Varsity. Danielle Blatnik led Edison Chargers Varsity with three hits in four at bats. They take on Margaretta for Senior night at 445 tonight!
The JV Lady Chargers run ruled the Bellevue Redmen with a final score of 21 to 10. Guerra led with four hits.

The Lady Chargers dropped a heart breaker last night to Oak Harbor 7-6. The Chargers mustard up 9 hits. Kira Appeman had two singles. Reagan King hit an RBI double. Kayla Mancuso set the school record by swatting two triples bringing her total to 8 for the year. The girls play Margaretta Friday at home.
The JV Lady Chargers battled the Oak Harbor Rockets until sunset, with a final score of 16 to 12, Oak Harbor. Sophia Guerra with three hits, including an out of the park home run. Elana McCord also assisted the team with three hits. Leading from the mound were Guerra and Taryn Hahn.

The JV ladies split with Gibsonburg over the weekend. Guerra led the Chargers to victory in the first game. Linder doubled twice and singled. Hahn led the ladies in the second game from the mound. Hahn and Gardner had four hits a piece.

The Lady Charger Varsity Softball team shutout Oak Harbor 1-0. Kira Appeman was stellar on the mound striking out 6, walking 1 and allowing only 3 hits. She was backed up by an outstanding defense who turned 2 double plays and made plenty of outstanding catches. Kayla Mancuso led the way with 2 hits while Mallory Perkins drove in Appeman for the game's only run.

Charger Varsity Softball continued where it left off by defeating Seneca East 13-1. Kira Appeman goes 2-0 on the mound by allowing 1 run on 3 hits while striking out 6 and walking zero. The Ladies knocked out 17 hits with Mallory Perkins, Madison Chaput and the Blatnik twins each belting Doubles. Kayla Mancuso and Kira Appeman both roped triples and Olivia Vitaz collected 2 singles with 3 rbis. The ladies take on Clyde on Thurs April 1st at home.
Sophia Guerra led the JV Charger Softball Team to defeat Seneca East with a final score of 20 to 16. McCord led the ladies with 4 runs scored. In the 7th Elena McCord hit a bases loaded home run to put the team back in the lead.

The Lady Charger Softball Team disposed of New London 14-0 in 5 innings. Kira Appeman gets the win with 12 strikeouts, 0 walks and only giving up one hit. The Chargers had plenty of offense with Mallory Perkins taking one deep over the center field fence. Kira Appeman helped her own cause by swatting 2 triples. Mancuso, King and Quillen each chipped in a double. The Blatnik girls combined for 5 hits with Danielle slapping 3 of them. The Ladies take on Seneca East tonight at 4:45 on our home field.

The lady JV softball team battled Ashland Crestview on 3/29 with a final score of 7 to 11. The ladies started off strong with Guerra leading the team with a home run and a single. Wilson assisted the team from the outfield, making two great catches. The ladies look forward to playing at Seneca East tomorrow.

Varsity Softball vs. Clear Fork (Sectional Championship)
Kira Appeman shut down Clear Fork, throwing a complete game shutout and leading the Charger softball team to a 6-0 victory and a Sectional Championship. The Ladies scattered 10 hits with Lindsey Fortuna and Jessica Stoll both hitting solo dingers. Morgan Scott and Mariah Medina both added two hits while Deana Blatnik, Kayla Mancuso and Kira Appeman each had base knocks with Mancuso hitting a double. Although the girls had many outstanding defensive plays none were like the SICK backhand snag up the middle - by Grace Houser who managed to throw out the batter to end the inning with runners in scoring position!! The Ladies face Vermilion on Tuesday in league play and Galion on Wednesday to start District play.

Varsity/JV Softball vs. Tiffin Columbian
Kira Appeman threw a shutout to lead Chargers Varsity softball past Columbian 21-0 on Wednesday. The lady chargers racked up 23 hits in the game. Kayla Mancuso, Jessica Stoll, Grace Houser, Kira Appeman, Lindsey Fortuna, Morgan Scott, and Eliza Brickner each managed multiple hits. Fortuna, Appeman, Houser, Stoll, and Mancuso each collected three hits apiece. The girls play Margaretta away tonight.
Edison JV Softball had everything working on Wednesday, winning big over Tiffin Columbian Tornadoes 15-2. The ladies got things moving in the first inning, when Vitaz singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run. Krul, Blatnik, Johnson, Lambert, Kowalski, and Vitaz powered the big inning with RBIs. Roberts took the win for Edison. The Chargers collected 12 hits. Kowalski and Vitaz each collected three hits to lead the Chargers.

Varsity Softball vs. New London (Sectional Semi-Final)
Congratulations to the Lady Chargers for winning their first Sectional game over New London 20-0. Lindsey Fortuna pitched a one hit shutout. Kayla Mancuso went 3-4 with two triples a double with 5 runs batted in. Fortuna and Jessica Stoll hit back to back bombs while Kira Appeman and Morgan Scott both chipped in with two hits apiece with Scott having a triple. Mariah Medina, Eliza Brickner, Mallory Perkins, Autumn Ortiz, Hannah Vitaz and Deana Blatnik all added hits to the list. The Girls take on Tiffin Columbian at home tonight in a non league tune up game before the Sectional Championship Friday.

The Lady Chargers lost to Oak Harbor yesterday 5-2. Grace Houser and Jessica Stoll each had base hits while Deana Blatnik added a double and an RBI. The girls host New London today in the first game of Sectionals .

The ladies big bats were led by Vitaz, Perkins, and Roberts, all driving in runs in the frame. Roberts earned the victory on the rubber for the Chargers. Edison had 17 hits in the game. Perkins, Vitaz, Lambert, Roberts, and Johnson all managed multiple hits for Edison Chargers.

Varsity Softball beat Willard 10-0. Kira Appeman struck out seven in a five-inning, two-hit shutout as the Chargers run-ruled the Crimson Flashes in the Bay Division. Appeman also tallied two doubles at the plate for Edison (13-4, 5-3). Hannah Vitaz, Deana Blatnik, Grace Houser, Mariah Medina and Morgan Scott had two hits apiece. Scott, Jessica Stoll and Medina each had two RBIs.

Edison Chargers JV Softball cruised to a victory over Crestview 11-1 on Wednesday. The ladies pulled away for good with four runs in the third inning and notched four runs in the fourth inning. Lindsay Roberts was the winning pitcher for Edison. Halina Krul led the Chargers with two hits in three at bats. The Chargers were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Olivia Vitaz had the most chances in the field with three. Nice job ladies!

Morgan Scott added a couple of base hits with Deana Blatnik, Kira Appeman, Grace Houser and Hannah Vitaz all had a hit as well. Fortuna earned the victory in the circle for Edison Chargers Varsity. She surrendered one run on four hits over seven innings, striking out five and walking zero.

Kayla Mancuso went 2-3 with a double. Jessica Stoll went 2-3 with a HR and 3 rbis. Kira Appeman went 3-4 with a double and 2 rbi, Deana Blatnik added a double and Morgan Scott collected a single. The Ladies take on Huron tomorrow night at Huron.

Our offense in the inning was led by Krul, Roberts, Chaput, Johnson, Kowalski, and Vitaz, all driving in runs in the frame. Roberts was the winning pitcher for the Chargers. Johnson, Lambert, Roberts, Vitaz, and Kowalski all managed multiple hits for Edison Chargers JV. Johnson went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the ladies in hits.

JV Girls Softball vs. Willard
Eight RBI Day for Mallory Perkins brings victory for Edison JV Lady Chargers with a final score of 14-3 over Willard. Perkins drove in runs on a grand slam in the second. The Chargers notched four runs in the sixth inning. Lambert, Vitaz, and Perkins all contributed in the big inning with RBIs. Roberts led the JV team to victory in the circle. Krul, Vitaz, Perkins, and Blatnik each managed multiple hits for Edison Chargers JV. Krul led the Chargers with three hits in four at bats.

JV Softball vs. Margaretta
Mallory Perkins showed timely hitting on Wednesday, driving in six on three hits to lead Edison Chargers JV past Margaretta 25-6 on Wednesday. The ladies opened up scoring in the first inning. Vitaz singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run. Edison Chargers JV's offense in the inning came from singles by Halina Krul and Leigh Anne Lambert, a triple by Perkins, a fielder's choice by Danielle Blatnik, and a double by Lindsey Kowalski. Lindsay Roberts was credited with the victory for Edison. Edison Chargers JV collected 18 hits on the day. Vitaz, Kowalski, Perkins, Johnson, Roberts, Chaput, and Krul all had multiple hits for Edison Chargers JV.

The Lady Charger Softball Team suffered a loss to Margaretta. Lindsey Fortuna, Kira Appeman, Mariah Medina, Jessica Stoll, Hannah Vitaz and Deana Blatnik each collected one hit to lead Edison. The Girls play Willard away today.

Edison Chargers JV Softball team out-hits competition, yet Hopewell-Loudon takes the win. Mancuso went six innings, allowing seven runs on seven hits and striking out three with a final score of 7-5. Edison Chargers JV racked up eight hits in the game. Perkins and Roberts each collected two hits to lead the JV ladies.

Edison Chargers JV softball stole the lead late in the game in a 17-5 victory over Oak Harbor on Wednesday. Lindsey Kowalski led Chargers to victory by driving in five runs. Edison tallied four runs in the sixth inning. The Chargers big inning was driven by singles by Kowalski, Chaput, and Blatnik & Roberts earned the win for Chargers.

Varsity Softball vs. St. Mary's
Lady Chargers beat St Mary 13-0 in softball action yesterday. Grace Houser had three hits and drove in three runs to pace the Chargers in a five-inning rout of the Panthers. Deana Blatnik, Kayla Mancuso and Morgan Scott all added two hits each for Edison (3-1), which tallied 15 total hits. In the circle, Kira Appeman got the win, striking out eight and walking one in three innings. She gave up a single hit. Mancuso didn’t allow a hit or run in two innings of relief, striking out two.

JV Girls Softball vs. New London/Margaretta/Clyde/Port Clinton
The JV Lady Chargers went 3-1 over Spring Break. The ladies started by crushing New London. Tuesday's game against Margaretta was a heartbreaker for Edison Chargers JV, as they lost the lead late in an 11-7 defeat. Despite the loss, Edison Chargers JV did collect 12 hits in the high-scoring affair. Olivia Vitaz, Atteman, Perkins, and Lindsey Roberts each collected multiple hits for Edison Chargers JV. Lindsey Roberts didn't allow a single run against Clyde, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Edison Chargers JV to a 10-0 victory on Thursday.
